    Lockouts, hubs and where?

Ok. I am going to mod my deuce instead of picking up a 5 ton. Had a choice either or. So I am thinking I would like to install lockers. First question: Do I need them in all three axles? Its my understanding that if I put them in the front and last axle, worst case only one tire will spin...

    Deuce brakes locking up.

I live way out in the country. Right now, my chevy S-10 is a no go...being buried in my yard in snow, and the county doesn't like to plow my road reliable, so the only vehicle I have to get back and forth to work is my deuce. I am having a problem with the brakes locking up...it seems to be...

Deuce won't build air pressure when cold...

Just drove the truck last weekend and the air pressure was fine. Got off work at 11 pm tonight and when I got home figured I would start up the deuce and let the batteries charge a bit (I like to do this every couple of days when it's below freezing). Truck started fine but would not build up...

    Cat 3406 B

After talking with my Dad over the holidays, he has an '82 Freightliner conventional with a 3406B cat engine and I believe a 13 speed fuller? You'll have to forgive me....I don't know that much about bigger truck diesel engines or trannies. So this truck is sitting out at my Grandpa's not being...

    Deuce temp guage

Got my new temp guage installed...no joy. Still reads minimum. Got to checking under the hood and noticed the wire to the sending unit is kinda crispy. Not burnt but the insulation has turned chalky. Going to replace the wire...but are there any impedance issues like with a thermocouple or can I...

    24v generator

I am in the process of my deuce camper build, and was wondering if the on-board 24vdc generator would be capable of charging a large 24v deep cycle battery bank. Is it up to the task, or would I need to go with a separate generator?

    Another air pressure thread.

Not an emergency. I still build air pressure just fine. Problem is, I noticed about an hour after I shut down the truck, the air pressure has bled off completely. Should I start worrying about this, or just let it go and keep an eye on it?

Quick question on air ride seat.....

So I noticed after I got the deuce, that when cresting the top of a hill, the seat seems to drop a little bit. I also noticed the drivers seat is fairly new. While adjusting the parking brake this weekend, I happened to look underneath the seat, and noticed an air cylinder underneath, along with...

    Air volume question

So...I am out yesterday starting and warming up the deuce. Temps were going to drop low last night and we got a small amount of snow. I fired it up, warmed it up and the air pressure low alarm buzzer went off like normal. Since it was sleeting/snowing at the time, I turned on the pneumatic...

Toggle switch air tank drains possible?

So I was thinking.....alot of standard industrial controls that I work with are 24vdc. Getting underneath my truck everytime I shut it down to drain the air and water out of the tanks can be kind of a pain. I was thinking of wiring in a 24v toggle switch in to two MAC valves with the 24v coils...

    Remote Brake Reservoir

Someone asked for a pic of the remote brake reservoir behind the driver's seat, and the fittings so here goes: Again sorry about the pic quality. There is an isolation valve and a quick disconnect fitting right below it.

    Finally......

Finally got my deuce. Turned out to be a '69 wo/w on 15.5/85r20s (I think). Pics to come later this week as the weather has been crappy and I work nights :P Also came with 2 spares for the big tires unmounted, and all the original wheels and 9.0 NDTs. I can absolutely not believe how smooth this...
