You do realize that mileage drops off-road right? Especially with large tires in 4 wheel drive. And even more so in 4 low. All that on top of rough terrain, he not driving on the highway. 800 miles on the odometer doesn't mean a whole lot. 100 gallons of fuel is good for about 800 miles. Some...
Its easier to carry two 55 gallon drums of fuel, which is what me and my buddies do. They sell plastic ones at most sporting goods stores. You can get hand crank pumps for the drums as well, very useful.
My M1028 only has one 16 gallon side saddle tank. I plan on putting a 40 gallon suburban...
Very common with the Eaton G80 'Gov-Lock', sounds like it grenaded on you. A set of 3/4 ton 8 lug axles (Dana 44+12 Bolt) can be had for very little money. People even give them away for free doing axle swaps. This would be an improvement, but if you do have the money, D60+14BFF and never buy...
Thats for sure. People don't realize the drop drag links and all that junk are band aids to make the steering work for lifted vehicles. Even on the street, they pull themselves to pieces.

Torque is NOT applied the same, the pitman arm is indexed differently. With the stock 4wd steering ALL of your torque is pushing against the driver side knuckle working against the bigger tires and steeper angles. Crossover steering changes the steering geometry, it pushes against the passenger...
This might help, it can all be found with MATH!

You wasted money on the sway bar and steering junk, you'll find it won't work later on down the road. Should have saved that for crossover steering. I've broken steering block bolts...
I have trouble with mine too, pretty sure it doesn't work. It even popped the breaker in the house once, then after that...nothin. Traced the wire, isn't broken and grounding on anything. Reset the breaker.. still nothin. Gave up on it. The magnetic oil pan heaters work nicely though.
A Dana 60 is not stronger than a 10.5 14 bolt. Everything in the 14 bolt is physically larger than the Dana 60, no idea what you are talking about. And all he would need is a part time conversion kit like I said before...
Sounds like a full time 4x4, NP203. All tires get power, but in HIGH the front and rear axle still act independently from each other. They are free to turn at different speeds when cornering. The LOCK position locks both axles together through a differential in the transfer case and acts the...
Always good to have a radio... But why did you put it up there? There is a spot for it, just need the correct dash panel.

No, nothing is in the way of the drain plug. The oil pan cover that the exhaust leads into is welded on anyways, not coming off. Makes for a nice skid plate.
The passenger side heater is cab/batteries. Exhaust exits just before the rear wheel.
Driver side heater is oil/coolant. It heats the...
