I bought an M1008 from GL with a hole in one of the trans lines that ran under the inspection cover. It looked as if a forklift pinched it and broke it. I went to the auto parts store and bought a compression fitting (I forget the size now) that I installed and never looked back. It never leaked.

I believe those brackets hold a decontamination kit/station in the rear part of the vehicle and a contamination detector at the passenger's feet.

The program that Cornrichard is referring to is Extreme 4x4 on Spike TV, that usually runs on Saturday and Sunday mornings. I think the aftermarket bellhousing was from Summit Racing or Jegs and was a very interesting product.

You could try to remove the sensor and put some teflon tape around the threads. Maybe you will get lucky and the leak will be gone.

That is a tough one. The only thing I can think of is the possibilty that the inner lip of the seal became inverted upon installation of the yoke or there must be a small tear in the rubber, thereby compromising the seal with the yoke.
