Going on 2 years as a deuce owner and realized I haven't started a thread yet. Actually purchased from another SS member. From my research and convo with the previous owner I am the 3rd or 4th owner of this machine after DRMO.
First things first, details....

To answer the earlier question on fuel tank size.....(posted like wayyy back). We found the tanks in our units to be about 10'ish gallons. There is a gauge (surprisingly they work) and it hits F at 10 gallons. We kept going til it got to the neck, about another gallon went in.
These babies...
Put 25 gallons of fuel in mine (56 bucks) topping off the tank, then drove it to work for the first time. Only had it about a month and loving every minute of it.
Will be sprucing up my deuce (new to me) and having a hard time locating info on stencil markings for the deuce. I've got the oil board stencils, but placement on the vehicle itself is where I'm stumped. Google only brings up bumper/unit info and I'm not interested in that. I'm looking for...
It has been well taken care of for sure. Runs like a beast. It's had the spin on filter adapters already done, 11 20 GY 177/188s, 2inch hitch receiver and a bed crane put in. My only plans are reupholster the seats, bedliner the inside cab tub, install reverse lights w/switch mod, add the...
Pics as requested. Purchased this from another SS member. While doing my research I found that another SS member was the 2nd owner after DRMO released it. (The first photo credit goes to him). Still trying to track down the rest of the history. I initially planned on buying a beater and...
So I finally found time between getting my new-to-me M35A2 , working 12hr shifts, and other crap to get some more pics of the HMMWV stencils and some other stuff we have. The small trailer says made in '65 but the rest of the data plate is unreadable. the trailer with the blue genny is...
They usually do. When these became available to us in 2015 from federal surplus we had the pick of the litter for sure. All it needed to get running was a pair of batteries and a part for the generator. Was parked outside in 15 degrees and started right up after adding those 2 things.
Since...
We acquired this through our local federal surplus a couple years back. This vehicle was my initial reason for joining up on SS. Since our department relies on donations we have to fix/maintain a lot of gear ourselves. SS has been a big help for us to get and keep this up and able to respond...
Nice. If you light it up (warning/scene) I highly recommend using variable volt LED bars (9v/32v). Strobesnmore dot com carries quite a few. I'll hafta post up pics of my depts. rig.
I've owned a VIAIR ASK 20000 for 6 years on my 1/2 ton truck and have never had a problem with it. 200psi on a 2 gallon tank. More than enough to air up my 33 inch tires, run an air horn and run an impact for lug nuts. If you go that route you won't go wrong. Ran me about $280 and I...
Hello to everyone...
I'm John and I'm located in Central Illinois. Been registered for a just over a year now. I volunteer on a local Rescue Squad and we have multiple pieces of former military gear (2-N2FD light gennys, a 30k ground genny, M998 HMMWV), so my primary reason for joining is for...
Got busy repairing and forgot about this. Never able to locate TM. I searched using Kubota part numbers and ultimately found the primer pumps needed. Fuel lines and tanks were disassembled as I went. Both Gennys back in service. Thanks for the help.
