Thanks for all the replies everyone . . . its kinda funny I should ask this question b/c the new Petersens off road mag just came out with a write up about all the different lockers available. Good info, I definitely want to be able to drive it on the road comfortably and still have a great off...
Hey blazer, I replaced my fuel pump not to long ago and it was fairly simple, just some parts more of a pain than others. The hose you are referring to I believe you should be able to take it off, put the new one on and crank up that truck! When we put all the hoses back on we didn't have to...
Here is a pretty decent deal on a front locker I've found . . . right now it has free shipping. Has anyone had experience with these before or know of someone who has. Thinking about getting one if I can save some money these next couple of weeks...
I'm running 26 psi front & 24 psi rear . . . seems to handle decent on the road. Max psi for these tires are 30(which is crazy for how much weight they can hold)
Big thanks to S.S. for helping me with all the info about lifting and keeping my M1008 running . . . I'm going to be heading to Uwharrie National Forest May 13-15. Can't wait to get pictures and video, I definitely will be posting up when I get back.
I have the steering block on mine with a 4" lift and it has proven itself to be fine for what I have . . . of course there is play in the wheel a little bit but its an old pickup truck, what do you expect.
I was wondering the same thing, b/c the exact same thing happened to me while putting me lift on. I have had it submerged and took the truck thru the mud since its tear so I'm pretty concerned about how to repair it. Hope someone with insight chimes in...
These are going to turn into a collector of some sort in my opinion . . . if you think about it what would a base model 1 ton cost with only 40K miles on a diesel motor? Atleast $3,500 minimum, I couldn't be happier with mine and I paid more than that. I plan on keeping this truck for a long...
Thats pretty cool, I bet a lot cheaper than buy a newer shaft . . . I'm gonna have to figure something out on mine when I actually get those zero rates
So Cucvnut . . . what did you end up doing to the front drive shaft? I'm looking at running some of those zero rates front and rear but I know my front shaft is at its limit with just the 4" lift...how's your rear drive shaft holding up with no mods? Thanks for the info
