    Need engine help

Another place to check is the return fuel lines between the injectors. Those pesky little plastic lines are prone to leaking, and will allow the fuel to drain back to the IP. The truck won't start until fuel is pushed back up through the lines to the injectors. Been there, done that......

    Gas station procedures

Last night, my son and I took the deuce to the nearby Dam/Lock/Campground to help with washing down flood debris. On the way, I stopped to top off the fuel tank. While filling her up, a multi-pierced, multi-tatooed, teenager asked if I had some quarters so he could air up the flat tire on his...

    Uses for your M35A2

Over the past two weeks, mine has been used: 1) in an attempt to rescue people from a flood of almost biblical proportions, (flood waters began entering the cab, and decision made to abort because the rescuers did not need to be rescued) 2) as a shelter for flood victims during torrential...

    No tubo whine

When I took my Deuce (C-turbo whistler) to the in-laws the first time, the first thing out of my father-in-laws mouth was..."What's that noise? Sounds like you have a bearing going out." He still thinks I have a bad bearing somewhere....

    Hard Cold Starting

Check for air in the fuel return lines that connect the injectors. Mine started developing leaky return lines, that would let the fuel drain back down hill after sitting several hours. The results were very similar to yours - hard starting and rough idling, until all the air was flushed out...

    Deuce tire/rim break down.

I've seen hydraulic log splitters that go vertical, and push downwards against a base plate. Wonder if this would work?

Where is the cooling system drain on the engine block?

One is on the back end of the block, passenger's side, a few inches above the oil pan. Difficult to see from the top with the air filter can in the way. This is where I piped in the block heater (but we don't discuss block heaters anymore).

    Child Carseat in Deuce

Did the same thing about 3 weeks ago. My son (11 yrs old) and my nephew (7 yrs old) love to ride in the Deuce. But I've only been able to take them both around the farm at the same time. Now all three of us can ride together, and not worry about the seatbelt issue. ...and...

    Lucas oil additive

Amen brother! You got to ask "Who/what is it good for?" Higher fuel economy is good for the consumer (me and you), but not so good for the producer (oil companies in way of profits, and the govment in way of taxes on each gallon).

Putting a Deuce to work for me?

I built this trailer to pull behind the 4-wheeler and the Jeep. I couldn't figure out to easily load the mower in and get it out of the 105 trailer. This works for now, and you should see the looks I get!!!

i came home today, only to see ....

Yep, I would surely say that Deuce is fixed alright. Having spent most of this past Saturday truck shopping - driving Ford, Cheby, and Dodge 1-ton diesel 4x4 duallies, we came home with the one we liked the best......drum roll please....... 2009 Dodge 4500 mega cab 4x4! A real truck!!!

    Lucas oil additive

Hven't put Lucas in my Deuce yet, (other than my son, Lucas), but did put a quart in my '94 Maxima. She has 285,000 miles, and now she's much quieter, and I have an increase in fuel mileage from 24.1 to 28.5 in one week. (I'm kinda obsessive-compulsive on the mileage thing) Based on this, the...

    Deuce Introduction

I wouldn't be too concerned about the split rims "splitting" when removing the lug nuts. The most danger occurs when inflating the tire after the wheel has been seperated. Some guys do their own tire work (mouting/demounting) and others take their tires to a truck tire shop, which will...
