anybody ever use something different than the ropes to tie down your cover?? I mean the ropes work but I would love to find something that really straps the cover down and is easier to take on and off Any ideas? I seem to not be able to find really short bunjees cord round here

my M101a2 (M116 frame)has an adjustable jack stand but it seems like it is missing the handle or crank??? there is a pin of some sort connected by a chain to the leg of the stand but i dont know what tyhat is used for?? Help
