It's a 24 volt gear reduction, sorry don't know the part number

Does it do the same thing when it's warm outside? could be a stuck modulator when its cold

I have 24 volts between purple and red wires, but what about the black and purple/wire wire?

I did doghead modification and truck didn't start. Checked the wires and found a loose one, tighted it up and starter turned over. truck would not start. starter turned over 3-4 times then stopped turning over. it is a newer gear reduction model about 2 years old. starter BAD?

I changed out the fuel filter, and now my m 1009 won't start. Is the water in fuel sensor not allowing the starter to turn over? thanks (go 49ners!)

After Reading every post on the forum about gen 1, and collecting all the information about Brown wires, replays etc.... I thought what the heck, I should check the belt?? No it couldn't be something that simple, but sure enough, there was too much play, ran up and got the correct size belt and...

Do those 2 relays control gen 2 and the voltage gauge? Is there a relay for gen 1 somewhere? thanks

12.45 front battery and 14.4 on back battery

I am only getting 12.45 volts volts at the battery and the alternator after starting my truck? where else should I check? I am checking the alternator at the big red wire and grounding the neg side of my volt meter, thanks

Question? Does the volt meter in the dash show the amount in the batteries? or the chargering system, I was had a bad battery and replaced both with group 31 batteries and now the volt meter shows in the green?

Well, I took the wires apart and the glow plug relay, and it started up! Now the battery is not charging?? I had the electronic gremlins.....
