on this dually http://alfaheaven.com/Military%20Section/ChevyPickups/ChevPages/MC98.html it say in the description "400 lockup converter"?? I didn't know you could get a lock up converter for a turbo400?
No I'm the guy who bucked the system and decided 12v conversion was better for my use. "see civy glow plug controler conversion"
Had I known that you could just change the tang connectors and used delco 60g plugs, I may have still had the mil system today?? I just thought that the mil system...
when I first got my truck, it had the ac delco 13G plugs and only one was still good. I noticed that the resister was bypassed and the relay was connected to the 12v block? After tracking down a new set of 13G plugs and reconnecting the resister it only took about a week to kill those plugs...
That's a big 10-4, I can see it now !! the ps pump was the last thing to be bolted on because it was left sitting in the engine bay. I missed it when I put the timing cover and and new water pump back on!
Thanks!!
I wont be bidding on any of these personaly, I just wanted to throw it out there because ones in this condition are few and far now days,

and rare dually...
I was sizing up my york compressor for mounting today and thought I'd better take care of the power steering pump alignment issue. When I swapped everything over to the hmmwv take out engine, somehow I missed something and my PS pump pulley doesn't line up right??
any thoughts
then you will just vent the crankcase gasses out to the atmostspere, "I wouldn't recomend it" the crankcase gasses are routed back into the intake manifold to be run through the combustion chamber again and out the tail pipe. Diesels require a slight vaccum in the crankcase.
The cdrv is there...
I really didn't think you could bend a frame on an m1008  the bumpers have HQ15 tagged on em so where that is ??? there were also a couple of duallys but they looked pretty worn out!! Airborn m1008!!!!??? I'll have to try that sometime!! :!:
Ohh, for some reason I had it in my head that you were putting them in a pickup. the one reclining seat they have is really nice "thought about putting em in my jeep" but they are a bit more$$. Still if I had my druthers I'd go mastercraft all the way something about the way conform around...
diesels have high compression ratios, so combustion gasses build pressure inside the crankcase and the cdrv is there to relieve the pressure. When the cdrv fails "usualy clogged by oil" the pressure builds inside the crankcase and blows out the rear main seal and other gaskets.
for that price I'd just go with some Mastercraft sportsman seats www.mastercraftseats.com these seat are much more comfortable and they can help you with the mounting ! just my 2cents.
I use zero rust for rust problems great stuff!! just go to an auto paint shop and ask for it. As far as the rear springs I would NEVER use blocks for lift purposes unless it's a zero rate, shackle flip is the way to go. Both can be found at off road design...
Re: RE: Re: Differences between military and civilian 6.2L e
My cucv is from camp Shelby!! mississippi right? what is with that place is it an active base or a training ground??
by the way I heard the military blocks had a higher nickel content than the civy blocks.
well the price seemed right for what I wanted to spend, that included new oil and trans cooler. he did a really good job on and it would have passed as a brand new to me!!
I figured the guy was reputable and would have the best knowledge on making it work better, I am very happy with it...
went to a local guy here and he qouted me $360, I asked him if that was out the door he went into his office and came a minute later and said sure $360 out the door!
I was originaly thinking of going with a 5 row but he told me that the 4 row with the updated larger tubes would be plenty...
the old motor overheated right?? did you find out what failed and what caused it?? when mine went it cracked some pistons, found out the radiator was pretty gunked up inside. I had the radiator recored and upped it to a 4 row with 25% larger tubes. I also added a 110 gpm water pump from...
