Back in September, I changed oil at Leonaro's place (Baby Hemmet), drove the truck to Oklahoma, where it got a workout doing a lot of lifts at the place where the XM757 was picked up and towed home.
A total of about 3,500 miles, low oil pressure was a big concern and the "knocking" mentioned in...
With all the drive shafts out there, some may be installed wrongly. My xm757 has the main driveshaft phased incorrectly, just haven't gotten that far yet, but if left this way may cause a lot of vibrations although the angle isn't very big.
Cold weather, arctic or coolant heater.
Looking for control boxes for these, what's availble? I think most are pretty much the same, so the particular truck model shouldn't matter. Thanks.
Installed the differential oil pressure gauge this afternoon.
Couldn't get the plug out for the "After Filter" oil pressure, so I compromised and picked up the "After Cooler" pressure instead. The gauge now shows the pressure drop across the two oil filters and the oil cooler combined.
I'll...

They have always been good to me over the years, so I thought it be worthwhile to mention. They are near Charleston, WV.
A reminder that the deuce air intake filter canister does not have a drain, so after possible exposure to heavy rain, melting snow and splashing water from fording, check for water. In particular, if you don't have the right angle fitting for the mushroom.
I know about the "stickies", but how about a file where we can save favorite threads, that may be of personal use? I'm starting one on my dektop, but that means copying/pasting and they'd be lost if my puter crashed. :(
I'm sure you don't have anything else to do Mike, but it doesn't hurt to...
Robert, I have these adapters on unknown application, they are too fat to fit the medium towbars and the hole is a bit too large.
I know you machined yours, could you do the same for me and for how much? A sleeve would be needed to snug up the fit too.
Thanks,
PS. I'm asking in public, since...
It takes an astounding quantity of fittings to properly run a fuel line.
I'm installing a heated primary fuel filter on the xm757 and the image below is only the feed side, the same number of fittings are needed on the output side.
A fixed coupling is not shown in the picture, which connects the...
I'm looking for a few good washers (McMasters doesn't have them), hardened, cad plated, internal external tooth, for 1/4, 5/16 and 3/8 bolts.
Perhaps 25-50 of each size.
Anybody know a supplier?
Thanks
There are two instruction tags on the front engine cover of the xm757 and from day one, I have wondered about the possibility of reproducing them, they were blank.
Today I thought they were too blank, no sign of any residue from printing. Imagine my surprise, when I unscrewed them and checked...
As you can see in the image, the tags are unreadable and I have no pictures in any of the manuals. Any of you have pictures of them?
It's a 5-ton winch and my extra one is also tagged with "blanks".
Thanks.
Among other things, I'm now working on the 5th wheel installation on the XM757. The set I have came from an M52A2 and the approach ramp is shorter than the one normally used on my truck.
Question, do the "tips" of the 5th wheel have to be supported for any reason? They rested on the cross...
