It's really pretty easy to use, they make army/navy fittings to adapt to just about anything. To do what you want 3/8 npt.to 8 an or 10an then a compression to army / navy fitting to match the aluminum lines going into radiator.I plan on bypassing the radiator altogether and using an...
I'm also at a loss on these thermostats from both autozone and advanced auto. 3 our of 4 worked for a week. Then failed. I can start the 1009 watch the coolant temperature go to16:maddawg308:0 then open and drop to 110.when they were new I could watch them climb to 195 then open
Ordered a Delco 132-55 last weekend when home. (thanks Drock ),it will be waiting for me when I get home Friday. But in the mean time it's gonna be in the single digits for 3-4 mornings and while I like the tank style block heater if you don't have a good thermostat it's a waste. Do yourself a...
Some guys install sending unit in the top of water pump by removing the existing plug,it's said to not be as accurate as sending unit in the head, but should give a ball park reading.
Thanks guys when it happened I was in a ghetto neighborhood and alone, I just wanted out of there. I never connected all the symptoms together.I did check batteries and volts to gp solenoid ,was 13.1. I keep a multimeter in truck. When I saw I had good batterieries, good charging from both alts...
Yes nice and easy,I was gonna pull every fuse til I found a bad one ,found it on first try. So if your fuel gauge drops to below zero, and you don't have 12v to small wire on GP solenoid and cold start solenoid when key is on and no wait light check #17 fuse. Now to figure out why the fuse blew.
Thank you Rick for your input, but I will stand my ground on adding gauges, fuel psi, oil psi and water temperature it's easy cheap and can help save a motor, especially if running a turbo.
Everything worked well at morning starting, then when I went to start after work
No GP light, no GP activation with manual push button no fuel gauge and no cold start advance activation, when I got it to start it was at low idle and injector timing not advanced. Any ideas? I'm working 2 hrs...
Still driving my 4.56 geared 1009 down to Columbus, oh, from GreenSpings,Oh.Then 20 minute commute to job site each way on the loop, took her up to 70mph yesterday,a jeep
was messing with me.3300rpms still ran smooth. Can't wait to re-gear and add an OD trans.
Thanks Rick that's something I will check,I did a compression test and all was good.Just seems odd the thermostats all work well for a week or so then start opening at 160.Gonna try an acdelco unit next
