    My 1984 Chevrolet Suburban K20 4x4 3/4 ton CUCV clone #2 - AKA: M1007 or M1029

I think that body lifts are no bueno, they do not look good and might as well spend the money to do it right. I just wanted it lifted, the original M1007 that was posted here also had a 4" lift and liked how it looked.

    My 1984 Chevrolet Suburban K20 4x4 3/4 ton CUCV clone #2 - AKA: M1007 or M1029

Burb is back from the shop and lift is installed with no issues on the install. My mechanic does great work and is an expert on lifting these old Chevy trucks as he owns a few lifted K5 Blazers. One part he told me I should get is an add a leaf since he suspected that the rear springs likely had...

    Spotlight and Floodlight Lmp

That would be for the M1010. Spotlight on the cabin roof and one flood lights on the driver & passenger side of the ambulance box.

M1007 - CUCV Suburban Clone Build Thread

Go with the over drive, reasons why I picked the Burb with the 700R4 over the one that had a TH400. Glad to see you found your engine as well and looking forward to seeing your build.

If you can get a picture of that showing the whole rack and also how it is mounted to the roof that would be a big help with mine.

Antenna bracket mounting - simple cheap parts from hardware store.

As long as you can access the other side that will work, but in my application I could not or it would have been a PITA. It was just quick and easy to do it this way, took about 30 minutes to install the bracket with this method. BTW, those are your brush guards as I stocked up on them when...

    My 1984 Chevrolet Suburban K20 4x4 3/4 ton CUCV clone #2 - AKA: M1007 or M1029

I have been following the Dante's Peak build, have been a basic member of CK5 since 2011. I was going to post a pic on the Facebook page after I got the lift on. Everything I get is from 4 Wheel Parts that is related to 4x4 off road stuff, except the 4" lift was from Rough Country directly...

Antenna bracket mounting - simple cheap parts from hardware store.

Here are some more pictures from my past 1990 Suburban and current build. You can see how using the brush guard as the main measurement makes it look so much better.

Antenna bracket mounting - simple cheap parts from hardware store.

So on my last Suburban CUCV clone last year I came up with an idea to mount the antenna brackets from simple parts available at any hardware store. I got all my parts at Lowe's for this project and they are also available at Home Depot. So what I did is use furniture brad hole or T-nuts to hole...

    My 1984 Chevrolet Suburban K20 4x4 3/4 ton CUCV clone #2 - AKA: M1007 or M1029

Well almost the weekend and looks like rain on Saturday so I will just see about getting the 4" lift installed. The parts arrived today at my friends shop and we should be able to install it Saturday. I also have my 33" tires and wheels so it will be all set less an alignment. I will try to take...

Vehicles needed for television commercial in Az

Question for someone that may ask as I have brought up these same questions when I have been asked to use my vehicles for TV & Movies filmed here in Dallas. What compensation is provided to the owners? Do you have insurance if the vehicle is damaged in any way? Can the owner be on set at all...

    M1008 Wheel/Tire upgrade

On my 1984 Suburban CUCV clone I am building I am going with a 4" lift and 285/75/16 Mickey Thompson ATZ Baja tires (33" tall). That is enough lift and should make the ride allot more smooth. I just wanted a good non-aggressive A/T tires as it will be on the streets 90% of the time as a daily...

I was going to hang on to them for a short time to see how comfortable these XRC seats are. If I give them up and you have a way to get them to you they are yours as I was going to list them on CL.

    My 1984 Chevrolet Suburban K20 4x4 3/4 ton CUCV clone #2 - AKA: M1007 or M1029

Weekend #3 - Final update (May 25-26) The Smittybilt XRC seats fit well and was not that much work to install them. I only had to enlarge the bolt holes on the original brackets and everything from there fit perfectly. I had to get a 1/4' steel plate to hold the inside bolts on the bracket so...

Dude, why did you post this freaking awesome truck???? I remember that now and really close match even right now. Just think of that same truck but green with the same roof rack and KC lightbar with round lights. Thanks for the ideas and look, if that was a more popular movie I may have cloned it.

    My 1984 Chevrolet Suburban K20 4x4 3/4 ton CUCV clone #2 - AKA: M1007 or M1029

Clean up pictures as promised. Took me longer due to the NASCAR race taking so long today, but hey it was a interesting race yet again. Hopefully my Smittybilt XRC seats will work as these are just filthy as you can see in the pictures. I am likely going to have to fabricate some bracket, but...

    My 1984 Chevrolet Suburban K20 4x4 3/4 ton CUCV clone #2 - AKA: M1007 or M1029

Well I know why the cruise was not working, the vacuum pump was bad. Good thing this had a 700R4 or it would not have shifted on my way home being that the HT400 needs vacuum to shift. I found this out trying to figure out why the bend door was not moving, so I just read up on the subject and...

srs78, I remember seeing yours when I was looking on how to install the step bumper on my last build. Nice looking truck and as soon as you paint it green it will look even better. Weekend #3 - Saturday only (May 25-26) Well it is raining and nothing to do but read through SS posts, so I...
