Thanks but I saw that and They want 20$ to ship it. I'm gonna keep looking. I am sure there is nothing special about that gasket except I don't have an old one to match up at Fleetpride.
This is a great event with a great bunch of guys. I hooked up with them last year and escorted their hike. This year we have almost 4x as many signed up and more trucks for the escort. If you are near Glastonbury ct please show your support.
I'll be there again this year with Vintage Iron and have a small vendor spot. Will post stuff soon as I go through my inventory. Also bringing a new member to the hobby who is a proud owner of a Deuce.
I could swear when I unplugged the 27 wire the light went out but been working long hours and my memory isn't so great.
i'm trying to get this truck and my 813 whipped into shape by May for a big fundraiser for a Marine Corp detachment.
been working long hours on them and a third deuce owned by...
My deuce has low oil pressure and think there is a gauge issue. Truck came to me with a Faria that was stuck all the way right. Upon removal looked like top of it was melted. I smacked it and needle went left. I took an older period correct gauge(SW I think) from another one and put it in and...
Ok, my only worry was it's so cold out with no antifreeze that it might heat up to quick and shift a liner or something.
Sunday I get to further enhance my radiator repair skills. I had to fix the one in my M1008 when the exact same thing happened to it Monday night with up to 2 ft of snow due...
The radiator petcock came out on a deuce I have. It's like 8deg windchill right now and the truck is sitting about 80 feet from a nice warm shop bay but I have to start it with no antifreeze in this cold and drive it in.
think I could hurt it ? Pulling or pushing it is not an option. The yard is...
Thanks guys. It worked and then the storm let up enough for me to make it down to my shop and grab the mil 24v charger.
yeah I definitely wanna fix it asap. I have to do a little digging on replacing the voltage regulator assuming that's what's wrong .
ironically the tree that took out the wires...
My Mep002a started overcharging the batteries. It was putting out 33 volts. I understand that this is a common problem but I don't have a spare right now and we have very co,d temps and no power. I pulled the fuse for it to stop the over charging.
my question is my 24v battery charger is at my...
It's common if you fill it all the way to the top. Also check condition of the cap itself.
if the radiator is building excessive pressure then a head gasket could be to blame but more likely just over full.
This truck has a wing plow. It leans badly to pass side. I'm wondering should I jack it level before I install, install with the lean, or split the difference. It will always have the plow so if I install them jacked level it will be stressing them under normal operation....
thoughts ?
i'm...
I'm stuck in jury duty and need the torque specs etc . It's hard to surf them on a tablet. So far went through 6 threads here and 4 tm's and can't find it. Could someone with better acces just post the link to the appropriate TM?
I'm stuck here all day it looks like so it would make good reading...
If I'm understanding you correct you mean the axle shaft seal in the axle tube ?
sounds like the bushing in the spindle is worn. I know this can be an issue on a deuce.
Nevermind.saw that you did them.
I will say seal quality is questionable on a lot of this surplus stuff. They guy I get mine...
