The milwaukee cordless stuff is the best I have found so far. Better than the snapon one I have. And costs alot less. Best way to get air is adding your own access off one of the tanks. The lmtv has a dual piston compressor it builds air pretty fast. The roboimpact is good for a humvee.
I just watched your vid. Never seen that before. If they were all flickering I would say it could be harness/connection loss of power issue. But the highway light stays on. It's not supposed to do that. It's not a flashing scheme the lights do when there is an error. It's just going haywire.
I will see what I have Monday. They are not too expensive. I will warn you I have had ones that are happy in my test truck then not so much in others. Clean your wire harness plug connection lightly with an eraser.
Real pain in the A. I have had to tap them out with a long thin punch. There is probably a tool somewhere to do it right. Some do not want to come out you have to break them.
I dont have any for the 005. I have regulators for the 006. Older gen parts are getting harder to come by. Better to replace the whole box if you can find one though. Sometimes you can open this stuff up and its just a bad connection, bad capacitor or transistor that you can troubleshoot...
I think the gov has an option to renew or they can put it back out to contract bid. GL can just bid on the contract again though. I don't think the parts contract is quite as profitable as the rolling stock one. I bet GL ends up with it either way.
The problem comes into play when your valve is stuck open from the last guy charging the air system from the front reg gladhand. Then the next guy cant build air since the valve is now stuck open. So they plug up the front reg gladhand to build air. Which feeds air back into the spring brake...
Left pic is your service brake quick release valve. Could be a little oil in your air system. Gotta replace that finned tube air dryer thing with the newer model. Play in the linkage or in the steering? All the trucks have slight steer play when sitting.
