Since I am running 12volts I removed the starter solenoid today as I wired the floor shifter neutral safety switch. This got me wondering if I can remove the two relays next to it and if so, what do I need to do.
I have my CUCV wired all 12v. I also have two later style alts. I'd like to connect the gen lights to them. I used to know this, but have forgotten how to do it. I don't mind using separate bulb holders with their own wires.
I'd like to know more about what's out there as far as kits to convert one to a reverse shift valve body with engine braking and converter lockup.
Any thoughts or knowledge on using this on a way overbuilt 700R4 for towing, please chime in.
Mistakenly posted in the CUCV section.
Anyone familiar with fitting an intercooler to a CUCV with the 6.5l? I moved the batteries to the bed, so there is a little play room.

I am wondering where the locations of all the various temp switches are and what ones are normally open, normally closed, and at what temps?
There are ones for the cold advance, the glow plugs, temp light, fuel heater, and one in my thermostat cross-over. These are the ones I am curious about.
Need a little help...

Been trying ti figure this out. My oil filter faces toward the front of the bumper. Mu oil cooler line ports face toward the drivers side. They come out facing into the exhaust on the 6.5turbo cross-over pipe. Anyone know of a way to mod the oil filter / cooler line ports to face differently...
looking for one that is long enough to not slip inside the speedometer head. New one I bought is sometimes good, sometimes makes noise, sometimes makes the needle bouncy, sometimes does not work.
I need to know how to connect the cooler lines to my Teds 6.5l engine. The space is to cramped for one to fit without bending it to much. Will a 6.2l oil filter adapter/block fix this?
I tried 3 brands available locally.
Magjic: No good, splotchy and applies poorly.
Krylon: Fair, applies unevenly and the green is to bright.
Rustoluem: Good. Colors are close and the newer cans that claim better coverage apply even and steady.
Rustoleum is harder to find around here for...
Looking to replace my pads and shoes, rotors and calipers.
What the better quality parts?
Anyone know of an auto parts supplier who offers a veterans discount like Lowes does?
I'd like to learn to do hot repairs to tires. For old bias ply type tires and farm equipment. Any chance one of you would happen to know some about this?
