The issue seems to be how high your differentials are off the ground. I was getting stuck on the hill not because of traction but the diff was bottoming out.
rofl haaaa! You got me there.. I was smoldering again the other night.. at least it there was no flame this time and was the same jacket so I didn't ruin another one.
Thanks I really needed to laugh today.. perfect timing!
How do you know when you are at 1800 RPMs? When you adjust to 60hz? I have mine running at full throttle because I heard it was not good to idle. Although I have not run it that much just yet.
Thanks!
PS: Gimpyrobb, I am going to send that button to you within the next few days. Thanks...
I am considering mounting a 50 gallon fuel tank in front of the unit as it's on a trailer (old 5 gallon tank is shot). I need to re-balance the COG on the trailer due to the weight of the fuel so I get that part. I will need probably 4-5 foot of hose for the fuel line and return line so around...
That's a good thought as well, I'll take it into consideration. That darn trailer is so heavy already moving the unit back a little will help me out a bit as it's too heavy to lift the tongue as is. I don't think there was much in depth thought around the CoG when they slapped the unit on this...
Another good point, thanks Gary. I will have to figure out that happy medium. I found a 50 gallon tank at tractor supply that's 24x24x24 so it should fit well in front of the unit. I was only thinking of moving it back a few inches. It's hard to see in the pic but there are two stabilizer...
Good point rickf, the trailer is meant for a much larger unit and I think I have a little room to slide the unit back a little further and take the tool box off of it. That should make it OK but I'll have to take another look at it. Here's a pic..
Wow, now I learned something new today. Thanks for the info, I am glad I didn't try to match a 45 degree to a 37! That would have drove me nuts!
Good info to remember, thanks!
Isaac-1, the reason for the 12 gallon tank is that the onboard tank is rusted pretty well inside and fixing it would cost more than the generic 12 gallon aluminum tank. Even with a 55 gallon aux drum that fuel just re-fills the onboard tank, unless you run the plumbing differently. So either...
Here's a video of the unit running after I timed it correctly, sound normal to you guys? Just curious as I feel like I still here a knock, but then again my Deuce sounds similar.. Probably just the normal sound of the diesel engine?

Thank you all...
So I finally have my unit running well and noticed a leak in the hose going to the IP. I looked to see if there was somewhere I could buy one but no luck. I heard a hydraulic shop may be able to make one for ya but it was Sunday and God did not bless me with patience. Here is my workaround...
Yeah, I am hoping it will just burn the rest of the gunk out, I really haven't had it running long yet as you can imagine.. Got to get some more 15-40 Rotella from Tractor Supply tomorrow and do a quick oil change on her, then let her run for a bit. Hopefully I won't need a valve adjustment...
