Installed battery cut off switch (from TMG) today. decided to mount it between the batterys on the front of the battery box because have installed upgrade with positive terminal on back of box. It is more handy in front rather than in tool compartment but more obvious. I will probably paint...
Mark: sounds like getting a one day sales tax number here in Texas. Not a big deal but I found out that they keep it on file forever. I would not worry, take your stuff and sell it and fill out the form. I do not think they have enough black helicopters to follow you back to Texas.
On third tube in front wheel with new tire after driving 2-3 miles. Local tire dealer finally figured out that wheel was rusted at hole for valve stem and was cutting into valve stem when driving. No way to see rust until tire dismounted. They should have noted it when putting on new tire but...
My M1008 has holes for top door seal. Rear hole is 3 inches above head of door handle screw. The hole on the front of the door is 7.5" above top of hole between hinge bolts. You can get the distance from outer edge of door from the new seal. Holes are .116 in diameter for sheet metal...

The green looks great. If I can do camo you can! The hardest part is marking the lines with chalk if your truck is not already camo. The camo pattern is very forgiving if you need to adjust the lines. I used RAPCO cans and they work fine if you keep shaking them.
I have seen drain hole repair kits advertised that you could add providing a neat looking installation. As TedG said many of the early HMMWV have very crudely done drain holes added as a "field expedient" I assume the repair kits are to fix these.

I installed battery cutoff (from Those Military Guys) on my 998. There is a hole in the back of the battery box where the keyed switch fits perfectly. Only had to drill one 1/4" hole for stud that prevents the switch from turning. The switch is accessed in the right rear...
Just installed the exide AGM 51 Rs. A little short but hold downs work. You can bend the hold downs to be a better side to side to side fit. May modify a set of hold downs shorter for better fit. I am OCD! works ok ! No cells to check!
