No, apparently the guy that bought it just wanted the generator. It was a pto style. He said I could buy it if I wanted it but don't really need it. I was thinking about a small generator instead. The only part he gave me was the throttle control that revs up the 6.2 under load.
I had been considering building a truck out of all my spare parts laying around. I found a 1031 utility bed that I ended up buying. I was going to use a 3/4 ton setup I had for the frame. Recently I ended up winning a M1008 that was in terrible shape so that ended up being the drivetrain I am...
Can you post a pic of your front end? It's likely a dana 60. Look at the top of the knuckle and where the kingpins are there will be four bolts on the top and bottom with a 3x4ish removable piece. If you have this you still have a dana 60. There are alot of mechanics out there that don't...
my 1008 will spin like crazy on gravel with no effort. I will never try it either way on purpose but I've seen a video on ebay for a 1008 where he kept doing a burnout on pavement, one after another to advertize it. I thought that was a stupid way to brag myself but it sure spun a lot.
It's been over a week now, still starts up and runs great. Never found anything wrong with the lines. Been driving it around the field for fun. Deciding if I'm going to finish putting it together and drive it or part it out.
I picked up a copper heater core but can't remember what parts store, it was local seems like autozone and very hard to order, they didn't find it right away, I think I found it on the online website. Even though it was copper it was still nothing in comparison to the original.
So I won a M1009 I'm still not sure what I'm doing with it. Just wanted to mention one of the issues of trying to start it. I had to install a radiator, fuses, glow plug card, air filter, starter relay, temp sensor, and fuel filter all missing from the truck when I got it but had all of that...
The depth is 14" to clear the rivots. Over the drivers side tire the length is 33 1/2" and from floor to next shelf up is 18 1/2" but opening from lower opening to first shelf is 15 1/2". Pass side is same depth but 27 1/2" from floor to first shelf and 24" from bottom of opeining to top shelf...
I sold my m1009 to get a truck. The truck fell through, I missed my 1009 terrible. I fianally am putting together 4 military parts truck to make a good one right now. I also have a somewhat rotted 1009 I'm parting out. It runs perfect, can be repaired. I'm tempted. Still miss the blazer.
On the bolt for my installer tool, forgot to mention I looked all over town for a kit with the right size, checked online, went to fastenal and they didn't have that thread in a long enough bolt. What do people do when they change them besides make your own adapter like I did? A guy that runs...
I had this problem in my m1009. I replaced the balancer and found my pully was bent. Replaced the pulley and all was good. Always wondered how it got so bent. I had a problem when installing the balancer, I didn't have the right size bolt in my installer kit to fit the crank. I ended up...
