I am in the process of a 400 mile swap.... 5 ton of mine for a M109 in great shape. I may have to drive the truck to trade as trucking looks to cost about 1/3 of truck value to get it there. I like the trip now in early winter as easier on tires/engine cooling with winter temps. We joked about 5...
I am trading for a M109 van body Deuce. I have plans to pull my MKT90 field kitchen M105 trailer for catering/ local groups /emergency food service. My stumbling block is the fact that the Army had Field Sanitation Units based on a tent with MBU burner sinks and drying racks and the local...
I am trading for a M109 Deuce with the original GI van body. The truck seems to be a plane jane van body as there is no indications that it was a communication van.
I have read the TMs as best I can and can not find the van body wiring schematic .
I need the wiring schematic for the M109...
I am trading for a M109 van body deuce that I want to make into a half camper, half totter for my MkT85 Gi $100,000 hot dog cooker.
My question is how stout is the roof to foot traffic or carried load ? I have traded for a P style Quonset Hut 30x30 and may need to put a sheet of plywood on...
Your answer may be with your cracking the fuel lines on #5 and 6 and nothing changed. Those injectors may be low and those cylinders may be loafing. There fore you have a 4 cylinder engine running where a 6 ought to be. Can you try a infra red heat gun and check the heat at the manifold?
I...
Welcome from Wild Wonderful West Virginia! Glad you found a Green Toy to play with. Remember you are pushing lots of iron down the road and keep good distances from you and any crushable object. I have a 5 ton with winch and was in a intersection when this woman decided to ignore the stop...
You have to be careful with a locker only on the rear axle only....... I had a Jeep pickup truck with limited slip rear end and in snow and mud the rear would lock and over power the front end traction and push the front end . You have to be quick on the clutch or neutral shifter or you will...
I had IH truck that would vibrate you out of cab at certain drive shaft RPM We jacked up one side and blocked frame and you could see drive shaft swinging in an arch from too long a shaft tube. Your slop at yoak at speed will alow shaft to start wobbling and raising ****. Get a look at a similar...

Back to your brake shoes, in general if a regular brake drum on a wheel is worn to a greater diameter than stock then only the center part of the shoe will wear when in contact with the drum. Some drums have a maximum diameter limit measurement cast in the drum itself. YOU ARE OK ON EMERGENCY...
I would suggest the earth ramp loading using a deuce. I have used that method for lots of things. Do you plan to get a dropside bed? They are handy to load from the side with a loader or fork lift. A deuce can be loaded from the back with a forklift . Mark
I have a MKT85 and am ready to test burners as soon as weather warms enough to put up awning. I could see a MKT trailer as the base of a manly Coleman popup camper with the outside sidewalls attached. Guess others at the KOA campground would be scratching their heads with Deuce and GI camper in...
Be careful what ever you do/use on a tank. Local man burned to death salvaging supposed empty crude oil tank which must have contained gasoline fumes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lots of stuff gets a second life with a new power plant.I have seen a M37 with a 4bt Cummings purring along. I have heard of a Dodge Power wagon lengthened for a Dodge straight 8 industrial engine. Some times stock does not stay stock.
