gears
memphis has them, they are great guys, and really know the ins and outs of the trucks and transmissions. they were a HUGE help with my 816 transfer case, even recommended some seals and other stuff while i was in there.
BUT, be sitting down when you get the pricing. new, for real parts...
wayne,
i did look at the lo, and the called out oil does not seem to be around exactly as specified. when you trace the oil that is called out, it does come back to being very high grade motor oil, sortof. it is OE/HD10 which appears to be CF-2 according to the cross references. which takes...
has anyone refilled their 816 or 819's hydraulic tanks lately? what did you use?
i had to drain mine to fix some leaks, now its off the the petroleum store. but i am not sure exactly what to put in
thanx
i beat the living crap out of a set of batteries with my big charger/jumper. i set it on "maintenance free" and just let it go. the charger would cycle with a 90 or so second charge, then pause for 30 or so seconds then "hit again". i did add new battery acid, because there was some boiling off...
did you recently rebuild your airpack? this sounds very much like the issue if the piston cup is put in backwards. WARNING!!!! the tm is WRONG!!!!!
this is the link to the old forum sticky re: this issue. warning, read this carefully, make sure you know which pictures are CORRECT, it is a bit...
google "gun fire detector" and you will see that alot of cities in the u.s. already are using this technology along with their video surveilliance stuff. BBBIIIIGGG brother lives
gear vendor
fwiw, i have a gear vendor in my "horse hauler". which is a ford f350 crew cab dually 4X4, with a very hot gas motor. the gear vendor sits behind a e40d which is also over driven.
bottom line, the gear vendor is a great piece of equipment. it is amazing, i think last time i talked...
make sure that BOTH, repeat BOTH sides are screwed all the way up BEFORE you push them in to there happy little house. they live in the same channel, so if one is too long, they will not fit. as they say, don't ask me how i know this.
cool deal on a problem getting solved without a bigger hammer. when you go to do the rebuild MAKE SURE that you read and understand the stickies about the error in the TM. don't ask me how i know. :)
thanx
e-mailed memphis, i will call tomorrow if they don't write back. called john and he did not have what i needed, but thought he might know a guy.
anyone else? this is a real gut shot part and these transfer cases are WAY too big to have mailed around.
i just want the wrecker, of all...
who carries the internal parts for an 800 series transfer case? my 816 transfer case needs a new synchro assembly, and i am not really sure where to get one.
thanx
fwiw, i am running ie6, and the first time i go on the home page, i notice that there is a lonnnngggggggg pause on loading "some gif", then the system seems fine. from then on.
i have a few 816 questions re: to the main hoist pump. it seems that in the -34, that the main pump is just replaced as a unit.
i need to know if anyone has an exploded diagram of the main hydraulic pump of the m816. mine blew the front seal off the pump, and i need to know if there was some...
the events happened in the same "excursion". i am hoping that the tcase linkage just decided to "go over the edge" at that moment, and a simple adjustment will fix it. we were running the crane pretty hard, so if something was going to come loose it would have.
we were in get it home mode it...
i was playing with my M816 and having a good old time when i blew either a hose or pump seal under the truck, serious mess.
when i went to put my transfer case in high range, it wouldn't quite go in. there was some grinding, but just not quite in. all seems normal in low range. i am hoping...
Sorry for the semi-hijack
this thread reminded me that i had a prototype of a setup that we made for an elk camp laying around. before there were lots and lots of tankless water heaters, there was essentially, only one. BOSCH.
this setup used a bosch/junkers w125 ventless, propane water...
