M817 Air Blowing out of Top of Transmission

When mine started blowing like that, I basically tore the whole declutch system apart valve to cylinder. I tried a rebuild on the poppet valve, but it did not cure the problem. I ended up buying a new-in-the-box valve and I'm glad I did. I replaced all the declutch hoses, to include the air...

    M923 Secret switch install

I had installed a battery/ground cut-out switch shortly after obtaining my truck. I later installed an M939 Battery Box Upgrade kit which included converting to a NATO style slave receptacle. I installed the NATO plug per the kit spec. sheet. The neg. cable from the plug bolts up to neg. bus...

Hmmwv Seat high back mod, springer base

BTW: I used coyotegray's method to mount the 4-way seat (see post 31). The mounting and fitment worked out great. I was pleased with that, but it was just the ride I didn't like.

    NHC250 Emergency Fuel Shutoff Valve: M809, M939, M939A1

The electric solenoid is good to go. All I replaced was the brass valve above the solenoid that is connected to the emergency engine stop pull handle in the cab. It had been leaking from the valve stem. This a specific valve not available through hardware outlets.

    NHC250 Emergency Fuel Shutoff Valve: M809, M939, M939A1

I had Will Wagner order through Cummins. I paid more than you did, though. I did a little looking around, but found the prices outrageous ($200+). So I just had Will track it down for me. I guess I should be asking you where you got yours from. Some extras would be a smart move.

Hmmwv Seat high back mod, springer base

I installed my HMMWV driver seat this past weekend. The first go of it, I mounted the 4-way adjustable drivers seat. However, I was not happy with the ride quality. It was a little to stiff for me. So, I ended up modifying the original springer base to accept the commander's seat. That offers...

    NHC250 Emergency Fuel Shutoff Valve: M809, M939, M939A1

The emergency engine shutdown brass fuel valve had been leaking when under load on my truck and I finally got around to replacing it. Thanks to Cummins guru Will Wagner I was able to easily obtain, and at a decent nominal price, the valve. It appears to a better design than the original valve...

Just bought a MTV M1094 LVAD

My son and I met up with Will Wagner and Craig at the museum Sunday morning. Will picked up a Cummins part for me and we made the exchange. My boy and I checked out the "flying dump truck". Did a quick walk-around "pre-trip" inspection. Sure is looking a lot better than day one. We'd like to...

    WARNING: Bad Torque Rod Ends

I am not sure of the brand as the are no markings on the ends and they had no individual packaging. I watched the the mechanic at the shop press several of them in. They were pressed in on the chamfered side of the rod per TM and the arbor pressed only on the outer steel portion of the ends...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Finally finished the torque rod end replacement project. I ran into three defective new after market rod ends from a lot of six I purchased. The rubber encasing the ball joint completely separated from the outer metal sleeve rendering them uselessaua. Losing faith in all the after market...
