I'm not sure about whether it was original to this 37 but the filler cap on the old one is the same size as the cap on a deuce where the new one is smaller. The other differences are 1) new mc has an opening on top for what I assume is a vent line 2) new one has threaded port for a brake light...
After rebuilding all the wheel cylinders we still had a mysterious leak issue that was finally tracked back to the master cylinder. This time I opted for the replacement versus the rebuild. I'll hang on to the old master and rebuild it as a spare or trading material but for $100 figured a...
I actually got it for $3.62 last week but it's on it's way back up.
You pay extra for the beautiful scenary (my dad in Idaho is over $4 also) and the fact that it hasn't been at or near 100 degrees for the last 2 months.
Not having to go through the process of getting to the master cylinder all of the time. I personally think the peace of mind of opening the hood and seeing the level is well worth it.
It's worth about $375 here in south TX at the moment since diesel is $3.75 gallon.
Most states require insurance companies to pay "fair market value" if you have full coverage on your vehicle. That's what the "average" person can buy the vehicle for on the "retail" market. As GL is not retail they cannot use it or other "auction" sites as the value. You can also gather your...
RIP to a great man that shared part of the toughest time of his life with those of us here. I hope the enjoyment he recieved from this site helped ease him on to his next great challenge.
I moved to Yakima in 2001 (we were actually packing on 9/11 when we heard about the Twin Towers and had to go to a bar to see the news) and then to TX in 2003. I didn't get in to MVs until we had moved here and now have too much green iron to ever move again.
David at Military Vehicle Data Plates can put the correct "inspected by" stamp on the plates for you.
By the way, where in ID? I went to high school in Grangeville, college in Moscow, and lived in Sandpoint and Spirit Lake.
That's what I was thinking of when he said to "run the MKT" but in a PM it sounded more like he's looking for the power cable to run the actual trailer lights.
The slave port adapters have been turning up ocassionally on eBay. Austin Aviation has had a couple in his on-line store.
Okay, I have to admit I'm confused. Are we talking about a cable that will run the MKT stoves and such off of a M109 or simply the trailer wiring plug?
Keep in mind that a ton of the small roads in TX are still 70mph speed limits. Just because it's a back road doesn't mean folks won't be roaring up on your six at a high rate of speed.
If you come through the San Antonio area I'd be glad to meet up or help out if needed.
Welcome to the M1010 club! Seems like there are more and more showing up.
As mentioned, Lavarok is the resident M1010 guru. Here is the thread on replacing the DUVAC. Even the military couldn't get them to operate correctly on a consistent basis so the battery equalizer replacement is the...
I know what you mean about "by the book." I made sure to take Rod with me to look at the M151 they have sitting over there. I didn't want security called on me.
In the end it comes down to taking what you paid for. If there's more that's great, but if it's just what you paid for then there's...
Knowing of the Rev's other purchases I doubt this came from GL but rather from another source. As such they may have different rules pertaining to what's allowed to leave with the trailer.
But regardless, this is a nice item and I'm sure you and the Boy Scouts will put it to good use.
