    Injured Elbow?

Put a knob on my M880 years ago, hit a hidden hole moving fairly slowly but the wheel spun the knob out of my hand 180 degrees & around with such force it just about broke my forearm. It was swollen and hurt like **** for a while, keep in mind I was maybe 26 when this happened and WAY tougher...

Deuce Telecon Model 20 Auger body

Can't seem to get to the TMs anymore, it just links back to the SS front page when I click... Searched as well and found nothing. I've figured out Terex started making them in the early 60's, that's about all I can find, no manuals, etc have come to light thus far for such old and uncommon...

Deuce Telecon Model 20 Auger body

Anyone familiar w/ the Telecon Model 20 auger body as fitted to some Deuces for powerline work? They look to be full hydraulic units, any idea how the hydraulic pump is driven, pump specs, etc? Thanks

    M674 Lowboy?

Scared of the one in G'ville, too far from the shop to deal with the bad axle before going to get it so if the yard is unreasonable about removal deadlines that's when things get expensive calling in the local heroes to fix it NOW. If it were in Alabammy I'd chain that axle up and roll. Plus...

    M674 Lowboy?

I'm pretty sure it's a military lowboy as the kingpin area has been 'built up' to make up the height difference for use with civilian tractors. That's the problem with the M172A1, they seem to ride low in the front as they were designed for the military tractors that are taller at the fifth...

    M674 Lowboy?

I'm beginning to think the same thing, the seller has confused the number designation somehow... They say "Fruehauf (M674)" Here's a pic:

    M674 Lowboy?

I'm not sure we're talking the same trailer, this is a pretty conventional looking lowboy with hydraulic ramps, etc., a county road dept. surplus item. It also looks to have a capacity well in excess of 15 tons. The Wikipedia article on the Nike system lists 32 different support trailers but not...

    M674 Lowboy?

I've logged in and searched, searched online, etc and can't find much about any M674 low bed or lowboy trailer. Seller claims 9'8" wide, 28' loadable and 49 tons (a LOT for a two axle in my experience), I'm needing another lowboy to move my JD CLC200 excavator (50k lbs), dozer, etc. since I...

    MEP806a Questions

Wired for single phase it would be slightly derated and since 200A is 48kw it might be right for 8 or so RVs, an all electric hunting clubhouse and a barn w. welders, large air compressor, etc... This would be an emergency use rig since we have line power at this location.

    MEP806a Questions

First of all let me make it clear used the search function but couldn't find anything on 'MEP806a', 'MEP-806a' or 'MEP 806a', go figure... Is this unit a 12 wire that can be reconfigured to 240 single phase for residential/ farm use? Any pitfalls or weak links in these? Thanks for any info.

    Hydrogen Generator

Adding HHO may help the flame front propagate across the combustion chamber upon ignition while the piston is just beginning the power stroke thus enhancing efficiency and power. This might be best exploited in engines w/ less than ideal combustion chamber designs or using alternative fuels...

    Happiness iz INSTANT oil pressure

Bought a Dodge Cummins pickup new in '91 and added a 'Preluber' (I think that was the brand) that did the same thing, I added a small oil filter to the rig for peace of mind. It ran for a bit when turning on the key and for a bit after turning off the engine. I don't recall when it quit working...

    deuce with head issue recovery

I've got an 8K Warn (old style w/ motor on top) that will pull a Deuce (with aired up tires) right up on my gooseneck equipment trailer. I've got the winch mounted on the horizontal crossmember on the trailer, just chuck a battery on it and go. You should be fine but a block might be good...

    hydraulic fluid?

Nuto H32 10W hydraulic oil burns very well. I use a 5 micron sock filter to catch most contaminants. I had some contaminated by water (or pee) from vandals, let it settle and then ran it through the filter. Wish I had more!

    Buying a M35A2 or M35A3?

Got both, the A3 is just more useable for playing all the way around but I don't do much highway driving and the CTIS can be a pain. The dump bed is on an A2 winch chassis while the A3 has coolers, towels, sun-screen and Mardi Gras beads in it, has hauled a beauty contest winner in a parade...

Attention!! Please use caution when driving vehicles home from auction!

I've had bought probably 15 MVs and NEVER driven one off base. 1) There's just too much that could be wrong with the vehicle, missing or dry (even after preview!) to anticipate without bringing a service truck along, plus it seems GL is almost always about to pee their pants for you to get gone...

Engine shut off/locked up. Will not crank.

Bring it on big boy, I'll line up my stock A3 with any stock A2!

Engine shut off/locked up. Will not crank.

Go for the 5.9 Cummins or an A3 drivetrain, Multi's are bottom-end eating dinosaurs, I've got three lying under a barn with bad bottom ends right now that would be scrap except I might need parts for the other crumbly-breaky Multis. Don't risk buying a 'low mile' replacement, the lowest mile bad...
