Don't get me wrong. I love a Detroit but they lack off the line low end. The turbo dumping into the super charger eliminates the low end lag. I started out with 671's then 8v71's and I thought they were great but the first time I ran a 6v92 I thought it was out of the world!
I also have an A1 and I have thought of doing the same thing but such a big block as the 250 the noise would be out of this world. Yes it would benefit a free flow exhaust but not enough to support the noise. I have opened mufflers on non turbo motors and experienced more torque. I cut open one...
I have the soft roof on this A2. You can hear there is more noise but it's a different noise plus I routed the noise up so it has nothing to reflect. The side exit hits walls and things but vertical has nothing to reflect the noise back to the cab.
I would say 15% more.
I was tired of the lack of low end on my one of my A2's and I did not want to mess with the pump so I removed the muffler yesterday. The stock muffler was 2 kilos more than a new muffler for it was full of soot and rust.
To install the straight stack I had to use the stock elbow below but this...
The newspaper reports the road will be open in 20 to 30 days for the province found the money to start and comPlete the work. They made tests drill holes on the hill side and found solid rock so the slide has no more material.
The man who owns that land had cut tress just weeks before but it has rained almost every day for 3 weeks. We never get rain, always snow and the ground is soaked.
The material went in the tunnel for it is gradually going down hill so the mud just flowed.
Thanks all. Your a good lot!The temp road is oPen this morning. But I think it will be months before the original road will re open. The top of the tunnel roof is 12 meters high. The mud went into the tunnel 1000 meters. But they won't re open till a retaining wall can be built. Snow. ZERO this...
Fortunately I was on the home side of the tunnel but all the big towns and my kids school are on the other side. They say 2 weeks to open because the slide is still flowing for it's still raining and will continue for another week. This morning our 3 little grocery stores were emptied in 1 hour...
I was attending a rally with the 923 Sunday and coming down our Valle ( one way in and one way out) I found the tunnel blocked with 8 meters of mud, rocks, and trees. They say up to 2 weeks to clear the mess and build a retaining wall. A temporary road will be finished in a few days.
