you could get some m34 wheels to fix the problem.as far as one piece wheels i have no idea what one piece wheels you are talking about i have only seen them in 19.5 ,22.5 and 24.5.there are alot of aftermarket wheels out there some fix that problem and make them hit the bed at full flex or hit...
i have been doing this for sometime now good info to pass on always safety first .you have to take into consideration everything involved in a pull the cable.the winch ,snatch block the clevises and tree and the tow points on the truck .everything you have to make sure everything is safe the...
you need at least 15 at the trans more vac = softer -earlier shifts .vac should drop when engine is reved up so put a gauge on it start it up have someone give it throttle it should drop .if you stomp it to the floor it should drop almost to 0. adjust it however you have to to get the vac about...
i didnt notch my frame my hinge hangs out past the frame and it attached to the frame rail with a big piece of angle it runs through i did loose my bumperettes in the process i like the idea of keeping them but if you are gonna be loading it more than 5000lbs i dont think the bolts holing the...
nice job on the mods they look great .on the engine stop lock did you use two different size tubes and weld the smaller one inside the other or did you smash one tube till it rolled back inside itself:?:
bending the wrench makes it easier to get from the bottom .,the bolt goes down from the top right under the alt it can be accessed from the top without bending a wrench but the wrench has to point towards the rear and its hard to hold it like that from the bottom
heres the one i made for my truck .its 1/2 inch plate down the back side rails are frame rails from a ford f6 reciever tube is 2 1/2 x2 1/2 inch by 1/4 wall tubing that runs all the way through to another 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 inch tube that runs side to side about two inchs back from the rear...
i do mine from the bottom i have a wrench i bent to hold the bolt .a five dollar wrench is cheaper than a screw on filter kit plus i dont really care for the spin on filters since they dont have any way to drain the water out and thats one of the main purposes of the primary filter:roll:
nothing wrong with chaining up the axle .you just have to make sure your chain is strong enough to hold the weight youre putting on it.. and then you have to think how it will handle with the axle tied up .i would think it should be done only as a last resort
same lenght as the stock trans goes right in without moving the transfer case.it is a four speed direct drive but i dont know what the other ratios are:roll:
i want to make me a hoist that goes into a reciever style hitch to go on the back to lift my spare into the bed.they sell them at jc whitney it swings to either side and can load over the tailgate or with the tailgate down i want to make one so i can use it on my other trucks to:roll:
anyone know the gear ratios of the at545 or at1545p that was used in the a3 that would seem to be even better for accelleration if the gears work out?since the torque convertor is a torque multiplier
:roll:ya im sure it would haul it fine for short runs and probably alot better than the guys that are hauling these backhoes around with short wheel base single axle dumps around here looking like they are gonna pop a wheelie if they hit a little bump
the 70/ 30 still applys not to having to run a proportioning valve or any of that but how much stopping power you have from things dues to the weight transfer during braking .unless you are heavily loaded in the back the rear end is trying to lift under braking and the front is getting planted...
nice job its a great mod since hydro boost has the highest brake pressure you can get .keep an eye on that hydro boost unit seems like they all start to leak i put hydro boost on my 1950 ford f6 4x4 i had worked out great only thing i could fit under the cab in the stock location i think you...
