Looking at the parts, I was wondering what the other bits were on the airtanks. I take it the check valve is to protect the air system from loosing too much air pressure and loosing brakes because of it all going out the air-regulator?
I've already got the right angle piece on the air intake. I've just split the vent system at the union between the fuel tank and the brake system vent. The brake system got a vent up to the firewall and to a fitting that I'll connect a breather too, right now I've got a PCV vent that I figure...
Look up the GrosseDeutchland guys. I've worked against (I do Brit) them several times and they're a quality unit over here. I've heard they've got other elements out west that are also good and I came across a lot of them at Camp Gruber when a bunch of folks all over the country met there for a...
Is there a vent on the transmission that gets plumbed into the breather system or is there normally a breather on the transmission itself?
Basically, since I've found the correct fittings for the breather system, I want to go through and build up a replacement for the fording kit (probably...
What about vent lines from the Transmission and Transfer box? Does the Fording kit include this kind of stuff or is it advisable? Or should breathers suffice?
RE: fittings...
I agree with Will. Take it off and take it to an Aeroquip dealer. They'll probably be able to make up a hose with the correct fittings on it. That's usually how I have my luck finding fittings. Go to home depot, check a parts store, check McMaster Carr.
In my last case...
Since it's pretty hot today, I'm staying in the shaded under the Deuce working on it rather than mowing the lawn I should be mowing. 8)
I've just adjusted the clutch free play, which wasn't so bad. The pin had me confused for a bit until I just started twisting on it with a set of pliers then...
I just have quarter turn petcocks installed by the previous owner. Makes it easy to reach under vent them and see the amount of water and it's clarity. Usually I see mist from one and not the other tank.
I just received 6 pms at once from Byzance.Int.group about wanting to buy my pack of Ferrets. It read like typical Lagos spam. Might want to start vetting the new members some how.
Re: RE: Haspin video
Ok, so Mogs take some time and work. You'll show him at the next one with the special geared axles right? Then you can use this smilie....
Check the breakers on the firewall first. Then check the 3 lever switches for power. There's a connector that has individual pins for power in/out.
You have a wiring diagram right?
I think powering the trailer will be far more trouble than it's worth. Landrover made a version of the 101" FC vehicles with a powered trailer that didn't work well. It was VERY good at rolling the Landrover over. You're going to have several issues with the angle's you can allow it to pivot...
Actually, the markings he's talking about are the big ones on the sides of all coalition vehicles that are all oriented the same way. Israel uses a similar method for their vehicles. OIF saw a different method with the IR Reflective recognition panels that looked like a vent you'd see on a gable...
