yup, some PB Blaster and a shock from a hammer is about the only thing you can do, sometimes heating with a torch helps but you need to be very careful about warping the ears.
RE: Re: 24 volt glow plugs ??
Also another thing to note is that the wellman plugs use the proper sized connector for the spades, vs. the 60G that has the wrong size spade for the cucv wiring harness. The difference is the 3/16" CUCV spade connector versus the regular 1/4" connector.
RE: Re: 24 volt glow plugs ??
the wellman plug is not a true 24volt glow plug, I'll have to do some searching but I believe its a 12volt coil, and on my cucv with a properly functioning GP system, I get a sustained 16volts to the plugs.
Regarding your reference voltages above, if you have...
no the belts are not all the same part number, and the goodyear belts have a lifetime warrenty. Plus with the special design of the belt, they dont slip as easy on the pulleys.
Yeah, they go fo lots of money it seems, I had a few spares that i sold to members for ~$20. I still have one spare but plan on keeping that one for my truck.
Re: RE: If You Want Something Done Right...
Yanno, considering I'm going to the GA rally for the second year in a row, maybe I'll have to come down and visit ;)
RE: Re: 24 volt glow plugs ??
ok, lets see if we can straighten this out.
When you first turn the key on and the glow plug controller card calls for the plugs to heat, 24v is sent through the ballast resistors to the glow plug relay. Then within seconds as the current flow heats up the...
RE: Napa return fuel lines
the ac60g's are not the direct military replacment. The correct plug for a cucv is Wellman 070. You can get them fairly cheap on ebay. The return hose kit you can also get quite cheap either from ebay or from the parts store (its the same as the civilian part)
I second the above post. Working in IT you can never have too much protection for your power. I'd pick an approprietly sized APC unit and plug it in, the generators give fairly stable power and the frequency (Hertz) is easily adjustible.
RE: Re: RE: towing a M1009 with a 98 chevy c1500
Yup, without the truck making pressure in the transmission, if the shaft turns you will fry the bearings in a hurry.
Pulling the driveshaft at the rear and wiring it up is the best way to go. For the transfer case, you can leave it in gear as...
