    Starts but wont stay running

to test for the check ball, get a buddy to open the bleeder on the top of the fuel filter as soon as you start cranking, you should have fuel immediately, if you dont you have air in the line and odds are the fuel pump is the issue. not an expensive part, but somewhat of a pain to get to.

    ATF in fuel?

you can use a few quarts at a time, wont hurt anything. I would stick to "regular" atf, no fancy stop-leak stuff (that could be bad).

    "Death Wobble" still out here

pull the top covers off the kingpins, you can usually put a flat washer or two in teh top of the cap to increase the pressure on the spring, but thats a temporary fix. the best way to fix it is to get the kingpin rebuild kit and replace the nylon bushing that rides on the kingpin and the sping...

    Insurance problems

the most they should require is an onsite inspection from a trooper to verify the VIN. Take pictures and send them in, and ask to speak with the manager.

    Proud owner of M1028

there is a glow plug inhibit switch on the back of the drivers head, it tells the controller when the engine is hot enough not to need teh glow plugs to start. This sensor is the same as the civilian part.
