well the single is 100% the one that controls the TQ lock up and release. The one with dual... I have no ideal. If you hook full vac back up to the single you should get the TQ lock back. With no vac it thinks your at WOT all the time and will not lock the TQ.
well if your like any other people from Wisconsin here you better not be making trouble. We have a hard time keeping you Cheese heads under control. :stir pot:
Just like any other bearing race. Tap it out from the back side, cut it, do what you have to. And install, there is a race driver tool. Or if your good you can put it in with a brass hammer. Really if its not bad why replace it? just clean it all out and repack the bearings.
hmm two lines.... I will have to do some checking. the only sensor I knowof on the older 700's was a single vac line that went in to a diafram switch with two wires comming out of it.
the line goes to full vac.... it senses when you give it the juce to unlock the TQ. You can bypass all that and just do a switch if you like. It up to you but I would get a manual and recheck all your stuff. There is a unlock switch part of the stop light/brake light switch too.
ebay... Boyce, Memphis truck, Eastern Surplus, Check all the usual places. Figure for a good take out $250.00 - $500.00. I have seen New ones in the $1000.00 range.
I can say 99% sure that trans is JUNK. If it went to surplus and was not looking like it just rolled out of the factory its toast. that holds true to all the 5 ton trans I have seen roll off my post.
:ditto: Been there done that.. I just took off the top plate with the solenoids and slapped it on the military pump. Worked great.. just make sure you have a 6.2 and not a 6.5 pump. Might have to turn down the 6.5 pump a little. I had to do that with mine.. way too much smoke and not any more...
Well the 6.2 is a good engine but if towing 5k+ pounds your not going to go 55 up the hills. You got to remember its only 155 HP and 300 TQ give or take. That is about 1/2 of a stock Duramax. The front and rear axles are about the best you can get besides going to a military 2.5 ton axle. there...
Well if you have not heard from the SS grape vine my leave was approved! I took a couple bribes (no joke) but I got it. The wife, dog and I will be arriving in the late afternoon Wednesday. We will have the M1009.
Well guys here it is.. I have been working on a good cheap lift for the 09 and have got it down. 4 inch lift!
