No power EGT's up there HELP

 that's a bunch! I know what you were trying to say ;). Try pulling the air filter off and taking it for a quick run and see if that helps. I'm saying you're not getting enough air for some reason. Does it smoke worse than normal?

    Winch Help.

I'd check the free spool brake before I tore it down. It sounds to me like the brake could be set up too tight. If thats the case it would hold tension on the clutch dogs all the time and make it very hard to shift. You should be able to rock the drum back and forth a pretty good bit by hand...

    Axle plug won't budge

Don't try and heat the winch housing red hot. It's AL and will not turn red hot, it will just melt and fall onto the floor . If I was going to use any heat at all I'd heat the plug. Even then I'd be careful. It's hard to tell when AL is going to melt. As Will said, a chisel will usually...

    Deuce dump project

If it's leaking around the outer part of the cylinder end it's more than likely a o-ring (easy fix). If it's leaking around the rod then it's the cylinder packing (still not to bad of a job but will require more disassembly). Because of the low price of the whole setup they may be using cheap...

    winch assembly problem

I saw that tonight when I was looking into my shifter problem. That TM is right. The TM9-3830-206-34P is wrong. I wonder what the military would think if I filled out that little form in the back (where you submit corrections) and mailed it to them?

    making a trade?

I'd trade. Since I about killed myself on my friends dirtbike, I hate motorcycles. I like MVs though .

    winch assembly problem

I've seen them broke also. They seem to break where the groove is cut into them. That leads me to believe they would break before they would twist but I could be wrong. If you have a shaft handy, I'd like to know what the relationship is between the two keyways (the one in the shifter and the...

    winch assembly problem

Well I've run into another problem. Got the winch together and the shifter positions doesn't line up with the detents. To completely disengage the winch you have to move the shifter way past the detent and when you engage the lever it won't go all the way to the other detent. I've assembled...

    $50 HMMWV in a crate?

The bid was not at $700 and somebody entered a bid of $5,700 and the bid automatically went up that much. GL doesn't work like that. Somebody else had to be bidding aginst them for the bid to go that high. In other words, somebody else had to have bid $5,600 (or whatever the next lowest bid...

    winch assembly problem

Sorry, I didn't take any pics. Here's the parts breakdown out of the TM (which is wrong). Item #31 (circled) accually goes where the other circle and arrow is.

    winch assembly problem

I figured it out. After taking the drum on and off a few times and seeing how things fit up I found out that that's not where the washer goes. Unless I'm missing something it looks like the TM is wrong. Looks as if the thrust washer in question goes between the drum and the shift collar on the...

    winch assembly problem

I'm trying to get my winch back together after replacing all the seals. I took the winch apart about a year ago so it's kind of fuzzy on where all the parts go back. The problem is a thrust washer (part number 2286131, item 31 on page 35 of TM9-3830-206-34P). TM9-3830-206-34P shows the washer...

    M332 Trailers

Don't know how well they tow but like Westech said, they have hitches on the back where you can hook two together.

    GL Auctions Extending?

:ditto: If your're bidding on something you don't want it to go into OT if at all possible. I've seen it happen too many times. When a item goes into OT all the bidders that were bidding on other lots of the same thing and lost out in regular time get one last chance in the OT items. It...

went to ft knox today to look over my deuce! help please

Did you check to see if the slave receptacle cables were hooked up in the battery box? If it's ok there I would check to see if the main power cable going to the starter was ok. I'd also make sure I had a good ground. It could be a bad power switch also. I'd just carry me a multimeter back with...

    Deuce dump project

When I was trying to figure out how I wanted to install my dump I found out that you have two options. You either have to raise the bed off the frame a little or loose the bumperettes. I raised mine about 1 5/8" over stock and I liked that option better than loosing the bumperettes. Just in...

Best Tractor Trailer Combo for Tank

Oregon may be different. All the states I've been in it's 80,000lb max without permits. I do know some states allow you to go over 80,000lbs for natural resources like coal, logs, and limestone on certain routes but that doesn't apply to machinery being moved.

I am probably going to kick myself.

That's where the year got screwed up. I would say if you had filled out the correct year with the VIN when you filled out the form the year would have been correct. GL can't even get the model right alot of times in the listings.

    Help..What do I have

I've got a soft top truck that had a ring mount (They crudely cut it off before it sold on GL). It was a standard soft top and the only mods to the truck was the reinforcement plate on the back of the cab. I'm assuming that to use the ring on soft top trucks you have to remove the top.

I am probably going to kick myself.

They get it from the info you provide when you fill out the sf97. What did you put down for the year when you filled out the sf97?
