Have been researching the manuals but haven't yet found info regarding a couple of small plastic lines coming downward from the back of the cab. One is venting huge amounts of air and the loss prevents the brakes from working. Have verified that the air tanks are fine.
Am continuing to search...
GL wants em moved by 22 Jan. Any recommendations? I'll look for additional material to move from the same location as long as I have this shipment coming.
Engines are in cans.

I posted previously that I needed a couple of Stabilizer Bushings, part number 12378806 NSN 3120-01-457-9719, for the M1079 that I recovered a week ago or so. See figure 182 item 13 of the LMTV 9-2320-365-24P manual. We would probably call the stabilizer a "sway bar." The hoops that those...
M1079 Right Front hub failure update... and more
OK, I have a good update of the long saga of the troubled recovery of my M1079 van. I need more parts but the main battle is won.
Picked it up at Ft. Riley... and it was noisy as I drove. Seemed to be a lot of noise (of which more later) and...
I've drained the nasty smelly fuel from a few deuces and have several hundred gallons.
My thought is to poison the biologicals and filter and/or centrifuge it, add some conditioner, thin it with some good fuel, and run it.
Anybody done that? What do you think?

Oops. Posted this twice by mistake.
So I've killed this one off.
But as long as you're here:
Duck walks into a bar, looks up at the bartender and says "Got any grapes?"
Bartender says "**** no, this is a bar. We don't have any grapes."
Duck leaves.
Comes back the next day, looks up at...
Have the misfortune of needing to replace some damaged 14.50s on a few A3s. Fortunately I have a great wheel balancer to help change them.
Well, I bought it from GL Lockbourne off a bad photo and it turned out to be a huge tire changer. Took it anyway.
Anyway with the help of a muscular...
Silly me. Bought a 109A4 even though the description noted "no reverse".
I was happily prepping the truck when the thought hit me: If this pig doesn't have reverse, what else doesn't it have?
Well, the answer I feard was "fourth". I can tell you with great authority that it takes 9 hours...
Am in Moscow for a few days and want to take a look around at what these folks play with or have available.
Went to a shop today and found a nice T-55 and Su-17 in the parking lot.
Phone numbes would be nice if you have them.
Thanks.
Made it to Huntsville to pick up my 931 Semi during the MVPA convention (a good time).
The pickup initiall failed because the tranfer case is shattered. Most likely due to operator shifting to reverse in low gear.
Two warnings; this is a common error with the 939 series. Ya just can't back...
After a successful wrecker recovery at Redstone friend Gary tried to pick up my M931.
"Well this recovery did not go so well. The truck looked great. I checked the fuel and the drivers side tank was full and the gage was working. it cranked right up and the lights worked. All pressures were...
I guess I need a 936 Wrecker, and there's a slug of them at Shelby. Question is why? Are they accumulated junkers awaiting rebuild, good trucks waiting rebuild, or a mix?
Am trying to reduce risk in a photo-based bid, of course.
Adn while I'm at it, anybody know a good transporter who can...
I have a leaky sight glass on a 35A3 surge tank. I need to locate one but in the meantime want to just plug it but am having a hard time finding a plug with matching threads.
Does anybody know what threads go on that glass?
And BTW, who has new ones?
Thanks much.

This is a duplicate note that's posted on the Transportation forum. Unfortunately that forum is lightly visited so I'm posting here in the hopes of getting additional eyes on it.
I have an M923 5 ton in SC that needs to get to the west edge of Illinois, on I-80. About 850 miles. I will be...
Will be travelling East next week and can extend a bit to go to SC and drive it back, but think it wise to have it hauled.
Anybody out there capable of that haul in about the next two weeks? What's the likely cost?
Thanks much,
Mark
Have given up for now. I've signed in repeatedly but when I try to add a post to the Transportaion forum I get the page advising I'm not authorized or not signed in. The welcome note reflects that I'm in fact not signed in.
I've signed in yet again and appear to be able to post in this...
Have searched but don't find a list of deuce engine manufacturers by year. Am expecially interested in when White started making them.
Does anybody have this info.
Checking google hasn't helped much.
