What makes a deuce so slow?(besides gear ratio) does the t-case have something to do with it? Tranny?what?
It will be a while before I get another deuce. But I do know I'd like to know how to get the tires spinning a bit faster. There aren't any higher gears than 6.17 I believe so axle gearing...
I've had this idea in my head for a while. I've only seen it done on 1 deuce. When I get my next deuce I want to take the middle axle out and do the 8" lift useing the frame of my donor deuce and instead of bobbing it,I'll move the last axle to the middle of the 3rd section of the...
ive seen 12v cummins swaps in a deuce but id like to know how difficult it would be to put a 24v cummins in a deuce. the reason why im asking is because its hard to find a decent 12v for under $1500 and my dads friend wrecked his 1999 dodge and wants to sell it.he also wants a 4bt cummins for a...
i was wondering how much power i would looz by keeping tandems on my deuce and runnin 1600 20 mich x's.
im kinda debating on bobbing it or keeping it a 6x6 (using the 1600's)
i bought a deuce from a fire station who put paint over everything but lights, gauges and windows so i do not know how to tell wat yer it is or any other info on it.can anyone help?
i was wondering if anyone has put stacks in the bed of there deuce. when i got my deuce it didn't have a stack on it but it did run down into a muffler or a cat or something??? not to sure.anyways, i wanted to cut the exhaust right before it and then run exhaust up through the bed. anyone done...
im in the process of building a bobbed deuce and the tires i chose for it are the 1600r20 mich. x's. im looking for something other than hydro assist. and this deuce will be a pure offroad truck so i would like something long lasting and tough.something that wont give out easy.
i was wondering if the multi fuel engine in my deuce has a mechanical fuel pump that can be turned up.like a 12v cummins.
or if there are other mods u can do to get a little extra power
100dollarman's five ton has no problem clearing 53" xzl's.but on a deuce what would be needed to fit those tires with the same setup.. and would it have enough power to turn them when i go offroading with it??
how is this guy running that sized tires and still have tandems..
is it air bags, bigger leafs and arms on a stock setup,4 sets of leaf springs,or some kind of custom setup
i've had this idea floatin around in the back of my head ever since i saw a crew cab deuce. i want to build an extended cab deuce. but not for a back seat but for a tool box
i bought a deuce about a month ago and sold it for parts, but i still have the frame and cab.and i will be getting another...
my buddy made a suggestion..instead of runnin singles all the way around, i should run duel 52's on the rear and instead of using a trailor bed for a bobbed deuce bed, i should just cut the deuce bed shorter
is his suggestion dumb or does he have a good idea??
i bought a deuce for 300 about 2 weeks ago and sold it for parts, and with the money i made i bought another, but i kept the t-case from the first one for an experiment. i wanted to know if anyone knows some pros and cons on using the t-case from my first deuce to make a doubler t-case
