    F-4 Phantom picture thread

I was stationed at Holloman AFB in the 49th TAC Fighter Wing from 1973-1976. This was always my favorite pic of one of our birds..... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/c4/Hol-f4e.jpg TiredIron

    diesel heaters

Eberspächer is probably the worlds largest producer of gasoline and diesel fueled heaters. They supply many military forces around the world. They make them in 12 & 24V. The only down side is their price. Google em' and watch the usual auction sites. TiredIron

    M-66 Cradle???

The M66 Ring which has gone unchanged for nearly 65 years has standard "large" pintel socket. It also came with an adapter to change it to the standard "small" pintel size socket. The cradle you select will be matched to the weapon....not the M66 ring. The M1917-1917A1-1919A4 series weapons will...

    Hard top gunner cutout

I have the Deuce...the M66 Ring mounted....and have been firing the 50 M2HB standing and sitting through the Hardtop Gun Port for the last 5 years. I don't have the cab reinforcement plate. I always thought that was for cab stress while moving offroad with #550-600lbs of weight on the three...

    SP97...? Titleing..? Hep me.

I agree...mostly. I have been through the bonding process on several vehicles through the entire process in Douglas County with no problems. With nothing more than a bill of sale an inspection and a wait. You say I don't have a bill of sale from GL....isn't the "Paid in Full" invoice that they...

    SP97...? Titleing..? Hep me.

Thanks for all the information. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you understood my concern was more about titling a 2.5 ton truck that is being cut down into a 5/4 ton custom vehicle of which there is no legal or military designation. The truck/trucks were originally "born" prior to...

    SP97...? Titleing..? Hep me.

I just picked up my fourth Deuce....a nice A3 from Ft.Carson. This is the first Deuce though that I have bought from GL. They didn't offer me any paperwork or anything that looked like a SF97 to help get a title. What is the standard procedure to acquire the 97 now that I have the truck? Next...

    general identification plate

I have a confession to make now that the Statute of Limitations has run out. In 1967 while living at Clark AFB in the Philippines...General Benjamin O Davis was the Base Commander (Two Star). I was a 14 yr old teenager walking home from the Teen Club with my buddies one night. As we walked...

    Hard Top Kit Inquiry

So how do I find them on GL for $500....? I did a search and found nothing. Has anyone paid the shipping and how much was that. I'm in Colorado with a new A3. I'm also looking for a Gun Ring Flange kit for a 24in hole under the ring. Anyone here been down this road? Thanks in advance...

    Hard Top Kit Inquiry

I think I saw brand new hard top kits new in the crate somewhere on here. It looked like just two pieces that bolt together. The picture showed stacks of them in plywood flat crates. Has anyone here bought one of these and installed it? Was it as simple as it looks. Thanks TiredIron
