    My V17 has arrived.

Wow...looks kewl! Pardon me for asking a noobie question: What is it? Did it come from the factory with that bed? With this bed, are rears single on purpose? What was it's main purpose the military used it for? Some many questions, so little time.

    Xm886a1

The USAF also bought these from Jeep. A have a few of my FSJ buddies with an ambulance based off a mid 70's Jeep J20, AMC 360 V8, T18 4 speed, Dana20 transfercase with a PTO winch. Same body as the M886.

wrecker 816 vs 936 whitch is better

Wow...I must have touched a sensitive place...sorry of course they do I dunno...like I mentioned, I assumed both trucks performed the same. But because I was educated to the facts that the 900 is geared higher...then allow me to suggest an explanation of many way better fuel economy. Maybe the...

wrecker 816 vs 936 whitch is better

This brought to my mind a lot of questions. I assumed (and we all know what that means) that the 900 series was just an updated version of the 800 series trucks. ...and the performance was the same. But I am compelled to ask. Are the 900 series faster than the 800 series trucks? Are the 900...

    anybody ever see a M936 wrecker body - put on a M920 truck ?

Without question...That is the ultimate 'wheeled' recovery vehicle! So, you think this is a prototype? A one off? I would love to know some more details and specs from this rig.

Aircraft tug pickup at Pensacola, FL 32508

UGHHHH!! I wish I has spoken to you when I looking at one of these tugs! Sounds like you have better first hand information than the others I spoke with. I am taking away from your comment than maybe one of these tugs would fit on my car trailer and maybe would not be overweight? My bumper pull...

Aircraft tug pickup at Pensacola, FL 32508

I wanted a Dodge aircraft tug so bad to use as a donor for the Cummins 6BT. (still do) Earlier this year, I almost bid on one, not that far from me (maybe 3ish hours away) The problem I ran into, these vehicles are super heavy. My research indicated they were more than 8000#. I was told that...

    6.2L detroit in a 715/725?

CUCV axles are easy to find what I would recommend. Just because they came under a CUCV, they are far from mil-spec axles are common as grass. The 14bolt and Dana 60 front axle are ideal for your application. Best thing, they have the gear ratio you need for your 6.2. Yes, you need to move some...

2011 Dayton MVPA Convention Swap, Bringing

My son, my middle daughter and I drove from Fort Wayne, IN to Dayton (3 hours one way) for this show. Having never been to an event like this, I did not know what to expect. I will admit, there were some kewl exhibits. I was able to show my son an M-818 up close. We all liked the 1:6 scale...

    100DOLLARMAN's 1st Bobbed 5 Ton!!!

I think the same way about Full Size Jeeps (FSJ) In the FSJ community, some folks take super nice, clean, rust free rigs and chop them up for hardcore trail rigs and then go out and bash them on rocks and trees. It's their trucks and their $$$, so who I am to say anything? However it makes me...
