Looks awesome! Having owned a M1008 and not 3 M101A2's I've been wondering about something like this after seeing what a lot of the deuce guys are doing with bobbed deuces and trailer beds. looks like I have a future project to undertake.
don't mean to hijack but I was wondering how easy the 6.5L swap is into these truck. I found another CUCV with a bad 6.2L. And have also found a 6bt cummins fairly affordably. Used to own a M1008 and would love another one. Been thinking about doing a swap like this
Ok so I was able to get the Lunette assembly off this past weekend. The two rear bolts were perfectly fine, it was the lower plate that bend around the bolt holes. I will get some pics up soon. But the two front holes did not have sheared bolts in them. They had rubber/plastic plugs in them...
In the lot of 3 M101A2s that I bought. Two had the thicker frames and one had a shorter one. all had the A2 axles, but one had longer studs on the hubs.

just a thought to let you focus on other things
I was looking on etrailer.com for some new bearings etc. to do a little R&R to the hubs on my M101A2's. While looking I came across the bearing buddy. Like a grease cap but with a spring and zerk fitting to keep grease packed in the bearings. I have this on my boat trailer and it seems to...
I'm having the same "problem" I submitted the form for the SF-97 a week or two ago and have yet to hear anything back or be billed. Are you usually billed after you receive everything or before like the EUC?
order wheels and tires for a chevy 1 ton from the 80s. Chevy 8 lug 16" wheels. The tires that came on my M101a2's were brand new Cooper Discoverer A/T 235/65R16
I have relatives that live in Oregon who have told horror stories of a customer with a brand new motor home that the station attendant filled with the wrong fuel and it damaged the engine.
Most of the stations should have a green tag that they put around the fill hole of the truck to indicate...
