Decided to clean the CDR valve on my M1009. Removed the oil fill tube to CDR hose at the CDR end and some oil ran out of the hose. There was oil in the CDR valve itself. Probably a shot glass full total.
How does oil get all the way up there? (I have a bad feeling about this).

Inj Pump Check Valve Photos
The valve is just to the driver's side of "the pink wire".
I checked some dimensions. The hose nipple O.D. is 0.250". The O.D. of the threads is 0.427" and it looks like a straight, not National Pipe Taper, thread.
It has an o-ring seal (the pink object between...
I'm hoping it is a bad ground but had not located it. Does the sending unit ground to the frame above the L.R. tire?
The electrical schematics are good to but diagrams on paper do not look like whats on the vehicle.
Thanks
Jim
FYI - I had a new sending unit installed before I was aware of the troubleshooting procedures. In my case, the new sending unit had no effect on gage accuracy.
Still have not run thru the troubleshooting process....too many other fires to fight.

Jim
The 6.2L water pump housing has what looks to be a pipe plug installed in it at about the 10:00 oclock position as viewed from the front of the vehicle.
Anyone know the purpose of this port, and if so is it on the supply or the return side of the pump?
Thanks
Jim
If I had one that was low enough to be sitting on or close to the rim, I'd jack it up before inflating it.
If it's sitting all the way down on the rim, the lock ring might not seat properly as the tire inflates.
Also you run the risk of creasing or twisting the inner tube as it inflates...
There is a troubleshooting prodedure in the tech manual which is supposed to narrow the problem to the sending unit or the gage. But I've been too busy keeping the thing running to sweat the little stuff.
When mine is full the gage reads 3/8. With half a tank it reads 1/8.
I write down the...
Can't use my wife's camera when my hands are greasy.
Easiest to see if you remove the air cleaner asy. At the very front of the injection pump body is a rubber tube with an O.D. of about 1/2" so probably 1/4" I.D.
The tube is about 4" long and is routed from the I.P. towards the front. It...
Yesterday, 40 miles from home, noticed power loss on hills. Quickly got worse until with pedal to metal on the flat was good for 50 mph. At 20 miles from home it would still idle but from 0 to 50 took a few minutes. It was strange - no missing or roughness it just would not build RPM's.
At 10...
I always vote. It is your duty.
Might be yours....
Do not confuse "duty" with what other people expect of you; they are utterly different. Duty is a debt you owe to yourself to fulfill obligations you have assumed voluntarily. Paying that debt can entail anything from years of patient work...

Can't help you with the size. I'd like to know the sizes of all the o-rings in the factory fuel filter myself. Mine oozes fuel from every joint.
Regarding biodiesel - I checked the Parker O-Ring Handbook. It does not specifically list "biodiesel". This is no surprise as a national...
I'm going to use a nammo can. It is one which holds about 1,000 rounds of 7.62 mm for a minigun
and is a little bigger than the 20 mm cans. Height is correct for my right arm. I'll pad the top.
