Paypal went through a little while ago. That went easier than I expected. Now I assume that I wait for the EUC to clear then make an appointment to pick up the truck.
I almost had the truck for $1200 but with LESS THAN TWO MINUTES LEFT some jerk placed a bid, extending the auction and raising...
Thanks for the help.
I filled out the EUC, scanned it, and emailed it in as a .pdf attachment along with my Driver's License.
I do have one more question. Where do I pay? I used my PayPal account for the auction.
Will it automatically bill my PayPal sometime today?
Thanks.
I want to build by crew cab on a slightly longer frame to accomodate a full 12' Deuce bed and still keep the tandem axles. So I'm trying to get ahold of a slightly longer truck. That way I can avoid cutting, welding, or bolting to make a longer frame.
I think so, but I'm not sure. All my account says is I was the highest bidder. But There are no invoices. I thought there would be a big, red flashing box or something telling me to pay. Does it take a while for the invoices to post to an account?
First let me say that YES I tried & tried to use the Search feature to get an answer to this question. Having failed at that, I hope someone here can explain the procedure to me. And if you could, kind of dumb it down into easily understandable chunks. I get confused easily. Thanks.
After...
Thanks,
I figured as much.
I wonder what's better, bringing a set of gauges or bringing another Deuce and a tow bar? I haven't bid on anything. I'm just wondering "what if."
I've notices that many of the Deuces on GL are missing the gauges. Will missing any of these gauges prevent a Deuce from being driven?
What I mean is, if I were to win a GL auction for a gauge-less truck, would it make it home?
Or would it spit out oil, air etc from gauge connections that are...
As I understood the video, they are selling the inferior products as actual ARB's. I don't think it's a matter of knowingly buying the cheapest out of all the competition. It's a matter of willful counterfeiting using an established company's name. If I pay a grand for a Rockwell ARB, I'd...
Is the M36A2 frame longer than the M35A2, or is it simply an M35 frame with the rear axles located further back?
I want to move my M35 rear axles back a few feet to accomodate a crew cab. But to keep the full-length 12' bed I would have to extend the rear of the frame by the same amount.
I'm...
Apparently China is now counterfeiting ARB air locking differentials.
Kind of makes you wonder what else is being counterfeited that we don't know about.
Mike, those are fantastic photos! You have already made what I was trying to visualize in my mind.
When you say you cut the 105 frames, do you mean you lengthen it by the width of the bogie section? How long is the trailer frame from lunette to end? Is there any way at all the Deuce bogie...
Deuce & Half M35A2 Tandem Axle Bogie - Steel Soldiers::Military Vehicles Supersite
Shipping might not be as bad as you think. I just bought an entire M105 trailer from OK & had it shipped to Las Vegas for a reasonable price. I listed it on Uship & had a quote within hours.
Thanks. That settles it then. My tandem-axle camping trailer will have to use a Deuce rear suspension. I want tandem axles for stability & payload for a dedicated RV converted trailer. And I want to carry common spare tires.
This was originally a slide-in camper project. But I've decided...
Did you ever decide to do this? I was thinking of that exact way to make a trailer. A tandem axle setup + bed from a Deuce mounted to a slightly lengthened M105 frame & M105 axles.
If you did, please post pics.
Does the M796 use a tandem bogie-axle setup like the Deuce? And is the lug pattern the same as the Deuce?
On an unrelated note, are the M105A2 axles the same as the M105A3 axles, except for the method of brake activation? Or is there a dimensional/technical difference between the A2&A3...
