There is a black plastic module hanging behind my light switch. It is not a buzzer, but has a circuit board in it. What is it? I am thinking water in fuel?
If you go duel alts, PM me. I have them and can maybe help save you a lot of time.
I am currently putting a 110 mm tensioner pulley on. Expensive from Amazon. My belt needed a screwdriver to put on. I have a cs144 on the p side, cs130 on the d side. Tensioner is on the d side. If you end...

Back end lights are often the plugs before the lights, or the grounds. They also make complete replacement bulb sockets. Get a test light, test every socket and plug.
Also, when headlight switches get old they do funky things, so do ignition and dimmer switches. The little foil tabs in the gauge panel connection are touchy. Better to pull the dash and get in their that way. Plus you can do a lot more other cleaning that way. Your ground block is behind...
Clean, clean, clean. Star washers and dielectric grease. Check the tightness of all the cable lugs. Maybe even blast the crimped area of the cable with brake cleaner. Clean your bulkhead fuse panel connection and dielectric grease that too.
Mine Sat this past almost year and I had to remove...
I have a rear sliding window. I may add a 12 volt radiator type fan in back of it. They can be rigged with a dpdt switch wired as a reversing switch, so in or out pushing.
I wonder if two batts will give you more than the 2000 Watts? I think duration only will increase. If your skills and wallet are up to it, a 12v conversion will get you there. Plus a gear reduction starter. Lose the glow plug resistor bank and the alts are easier to source, and higher...
I had mine recored and am pleased. Oil and trans coolers can sometimes be upcycled from air-conditioning or refrigeration coolers, if the tubing is large enough.
The 1009 was a better road daily vehicle. The 1008 is a truck, a real truck, old school and might as well not have springs, steel rods would be the same.
I have converted to 12 volt. I have also put on a floor shift and am wiring in the neutral safety switch. In doing so I removed the in dash starting relay. Now I have a lot of no noise whatsoever when I turn the key to the start position. Can anyone tell me what two wires should be spliced...
I am running two newer style alts. My volt gauge is a different one reading all 12v. I'm just wondering what I can remove. Are there any wires to the relays that are keyed hot? Do any of the wires need to be connected to keep something else running?
Since I am running 12volts I removed the starter solenoid today as I wired the floor shifter neutral safety switch. This got me wondering if I can remove the two relays next to it and if so, what do I need to do.
