    Selfridge Deuces

When I bought one of the Selfridge trucks last year, Joe let me check it out before I left the lot. He had it running before I got there but it had low tires and I wanted to check the fluids and of course the brakes. He told me to come and get him when I was done and he would jump me again.

M37 Difficult starting after sitting a week.

There is also a fuel priming system that came on some of these trucks. I thought I saw a picture of it in the TM's but now I can't find it. A priming pump was mounted in the dash near the drivers door with lines to the intake manifold. A few pushes on the priming handle squirts raw gas into the...

let's see your military radio collection....

Haven't really tested it out other than receiving tv audio before it went digital. I put it together from a de-milled set and I know nothing about radios. But it was missing a tube and a wire I had to re-solder.

    Coming Attraction - project #6 M43 build

Z I think they used a product called battleship linoleum for the the rear. I saw a restored wc ambulance with it and it was spectacular. Look in Hemming's I think there was a add for it in there. Mine was original and falling apart. It's color was a light gray.

    Rewiring the M37

They are the plastic inner connectors to join the bullet ends. Some of the vendors carry them if you come up short. And save all the Douglas metal connectors, you never know when you might need them.

M37 Still Won’t Start – Not Sure What To Look At Next

Verify that the timing is correct. In the MV world the M37 manuals are the best out there. If you don't have one, get it and follow the timing procedure. The advance adjusts from the plate on the bottom of the distributor.

    M43 towing question

Since the M43 shares most of its parts with the m37, the rear cross members are the same. So the hitches were added by others. And as stated above there is no wiring socket and it get in the way of the step.

    Coming Attraction - project #6 M43 build

Z are you going to pull out the windshield frame? It will be pretty well rusted under the side mounting areas. No to create any more work for you, but a couple of bolts on each side and a few along the top and its out. It will make your cowl repair so much easier to get to.
