You may have to use a chisel to get the nut broke free. This can scar up the nut pretty bad but I've had to use a chisel before to get them broke loose.
Yea I had some marine diesel one time. It was mostly water. :-D
The station that sold it to me had a pretty hefty bill to get it all cleaned out of my fuel system.
Sounds like you have some oil on the brake shoes. Either from a leaking wheel cylinder, a leaking wheel seal, or both. That would explain the smoke also. You would think oil on a brake shoe would just cause it to slip but it doesn't. It causes it to grab. Could also have bearing problems. Only...
If they are standard M-series gauges they aren't lighted. They require a separate light to illuminate the gauge through the side windows.
It shouldn't be too hard to make them into lighted gauges though.
50 round clip?
All the bases I've been on allow cameras on the DRMO/GL lot. I have been on parts of bases that didn't allow cameras. They didn't all upset though. All they did was ask me politely to leave my camera and cell phone in the vehicle.
We are not supposed to talk about upcoming auctions.
With that being said, I would suspect it could have a major hyd problem. There is no way I'd ever buy a dozer from GL without inspecting it myself or have the local CAT dealer do it (unless I could get it less than scrap price). There's...
Are the HMMWV gauges you're talking about standard M-series gauges? If so I've got a new oil pressure gauge in the classifieds. I can also get a temp gauge and senders for both.

If you notice they also charge you sales tax on the buyers...
I used to pull tractors. There are so many variables that it's hard to post in a thread how to pull. You have to "read" the track. This can only be done after pulling on many different track conditions and knowing how your truck will act on each one. By knowing your track conditions you can move...
I've got one half of a original brace. I've been planning on using it for a pattern and making me a couple.
The troop seats still can't fall as long as the front latches are secure but it's just another safety measure. It also stiffens up the sides when the tailgate is down.
There was a parts cross reference at the old site. I would have copied it had I known it would have been gone.
There is supposedly a new site in the works. Maybe we can get some of the features back we lost.
