HMM... I did that cross my self and installed the belts on my 813.. they were a touch tight but I got them on no problem. I guess a size larger would work with the amount of adjustment in the system.
I would take that oil cooler out if not already done. Mine was 1/2 full of a stuff I have not been able to identify yet, and really nasty. There are two o rings that seal it to the coolant supply and mine turned to dust when I removed it. If you got the engine set you should have every seal and...
I have towed 5 tons with my deuce. Never a problem.. like what was stated.. Drive smart.. keep it a tad on the slow side and the only thing that could be a problem is the tight turns.... The deuce really hates a sharp turn when it being flat towed.
From what I have found and seen the factory engine from the manufacture was a light blue. I have seen two original M type trucks like this (one 2.5 and one 5 ton) and talked to the owners. The reason you see the green ones because it has been rebuilt or at least taken out of the truck for one of...

I have tried trading a deuce off for some stuff before and it just dont happen
yes all CUCV were 4x4.. now military did buy trucks and make them in to what they wanted but all CUCV's were 4x4. And if you can go to autozone you can get parts.. its just a chevy pick up or blazer.
80 miles? no problem.. just take it slow and ez.. I lost a couple fan blades once and I was 200 miles from home... just took her slow and made it no problem.
Crash is right.. may be low on fluid. Also make sure to set the parking brake and let it slam off a couple times.. sometimes the switch sticks. (I know you said you disconnected it but try it again)
The burb prob had the 700r4 trans.. no need for a vacuum source for the trans. The cucv uses the TH400 and that has a vacuum modulator to help control shift points and line pressure. Like what Ken said.. just take it off and put on the vacuum controller. You will need to play with it to get the...
the cucv is 12v.. its a swap. The hummer pump is 24 volt. the way you can tell is the 24v pump has the military wire connectors. and timing is the same, but when you change pumps the timing marks mean NOTHING! They will get you close but you will have to get it timed. Some people cam do it by...
Have you ever changed your fuel filters? I would also check the in tank pump and make sure it is working and not burned out. There is a little fuse under the connection for the pump on top of the fuel tank.
