New Wisconsin HMV law in effect Oct 1st.

And my follow-up question, being new to living in Wisconsin, is WTF is wrong with WIS DOT?

New Wisconsin HMV law in effect Oct 1st.

So as I understand it, MilVehs cannot be used in WI for any work - only show. If one wanted to haul a load of wood with a deuce, or put a snow plow on a Unimog, that would be a violation of laws & DOT regs. Right? Now, with the change in the legislature, what chance is there that this can be...

M416 for BBQ trailer and some questions

That's awesome! Surplus air compressor tank as the grill, on a surplus trailer. It's brilliant. And big. Love it.

How to lighten up an M101 3/4 ton trailer?

Note that the OP indicated a new style 4-door Wrangler. They have a long wheelbase, and 4-wheel disc brakes. The weak point for heavy towing on these vehicles is the powertrain.

How to lighten up an M101 3/4 ton trailer?

Somebody else posted pics of an M101a1 with civvy axle, wheels, & landing leg. That saves a bunch of weight right there, and makes it more friendly for civvy tow vehicles too.

    M101A1 Standard 3500lb Axle Swap

So you kept the lunette eye, but took the landing leg off? How'd you do that? I like it, and this might be a good solution for me.

    USMC M416 partial restoration

    Outstanding resto, beautiful.

    New M101 build

Okay, for the OP with the finished project, that looks really great. Nice job! It will serve you well, and it looks great behind the Hummer. That said, KaiserM109 has my favorite all-time M101 adaptation. I love the solution using the original axle with replacement hubs. This is what I'd do...

Recovery of 2 M101A2's with 1 Dodge pickup.

    Beautiful trailers, nice find.

    New M101 build

Those sides look great, too. Did you fab those yourself from raw wood stock? What did you use?

    clueless question on inner tubes

Thank you all for these answers. I'm truly clueless about tube-type tires, and I need all the help I can get. One more - can you use radial tubes in a radial tubeless tire?

    clueless question on inner tubes

How closely do tire & tube sizes have to match? Can you use tubes for 35" tires in a 31" tire, for example? Sorry if this is too dumb, I know nothing about working with tube-type tires. Thanks,

    New M101 build

That Dexter axle - what brakes are on that? Electric? Or is it an e-brake that you hooked up to the existing brake cables on the trailer? Thanks.

    New M101 build

What axle did you put under there? Are there more pics somewhere that I missed? Very nice.

Hope you all don't hate me for this...

Very nice. No need for the shocks?

    M101 Trailer

I'd love to know what tires & tubes are on that trailer. I love the hitch adapter, too. Is that home brew?

recovered my new Pioneer Tool Traler

Caterpillar yellow DOES look great! ;) Really, that trailer looks in outstanding condition. Cheers.

    Pic request, M101

Kaiser, thanks for the additional pics. So you haul that behind your Bronco with no trailer brakes? How does that work for you?

    Pic request, M101

Kaiser, I've seen your setup in another thread, and it's one I look closely at. I like it, and I think it's a great approach. As scrap, you must have got that trailer cheap. ;) I'd ask you for details about your tongue, but you had to fab it all the way back to the frame. I'm only thinking about...

    Pic request, M101

Has anyone done a spring under conversion on an M101A1 or similar? It looks like it would be pretty easy to do to lower ride height, just want to see an example if anyone has one. A second request would be an M101 with civi tires. Thanks.
