Looks like a 6.5 Turbo to me. It appears to have a serpentine belt pulley, if I'm not mistaken.

I am wanting to do a 6.5/4l80e swap. Supposed to be a direct bolt in as far as the engine goes. Trans should just require some crossmember tweaks. What is that item in the picture right next to the t-case shifter? It is welded to the floor to the left of the t-case shifter. My pic needs to be rotated but if you look at it sideways you can see what I am talking about.

Are the TH400 prone to leaking front seals? Reason I ask is my new to me M1008 has a trans leak. At first I thought it was the trans pan loose as fluid seemed to be seeping out around pan/gasket. Tightened that uop over the weekend and still have a pudle under my truck everytime I stop for more...

The truck is a 94 or 96, I can't remember right off the top of my head. I plan to swap the engine trans and transfer case from the totalled donor. Can't I use that computer? I don't know about the mechanical IP. I am thinking that it is electric? Right?
