Not unless there is a locker in the front. Otherwise just one would spin. That's how the differential system works. Somewhat why when stuck in the snow, just one tire spins.
Arties Auto Electric in Manassas on 28... Number in building is 703-361-1717, address 7619 Centreville Rd, Manassas, VA 20111. Can rebuild it for you pretty quick
As far as the trail off I-77, I have not run it so I don't know the dimensions. I will try this weekend to go see how it looks and if a couple of 5 tons and deuces could run it.
There is an old power company trail/logging trail about 10 miles long running parallel to I-77 off of 52 in between Bland and Bastian. I have been meaning to go see how it looks but haven't made it yet. A friend said I may need a winch to run it but I have a 1028 so my double lockers and 37's...
I took a snatch strap and wrapped it around the axle, ran the ends out the back of the trailer, then had the yard guy lift it with the forks. I walked the pintle under till it was flipped and then pushed the other trailer under the one in the air. Both pintles forward, laying on two 2x6's...
I do like that install. It looks neat and clean.
Cletus09..The reason one side is mounted backwards from the other is so looking at the tracks of a military HMMWV you can't tell the direction it was traveling.
I might be interested. It would have to be stout though, supporting a 37" tire for an A3 would be pretty heavy. If you can get a tester model fabbed up and a pic taken, I am sure there would be more people that would chime in.
I don't doubt the information given...but I just was perusing GL and saw an add for an M931 that included pics of the hardtop and there were pics of the label that said for M35 and M800.
Ladies and Gentlemen please. Just across the Potomac is Crystal City/Pentagon City in the northern most area of Arlington, VA. A good place for not too expensive hotels. A little further south of that on 395 is Springfield, VA. Also inexpensive place to stay outside of DC. Metro Rail from...
Last Thursdays snow fall was 12-18" in three hours. I was the only one that could easily cruise the highways and byways. If I came upon a hold up due to drivers becoming stuck I either pulled them out or went around. It was a blast. And the beast never got stuck
My starter in my 1028 went out and I had it rebuilt by an electrical type guy that works on alternators and starters. It works good as new now. Check with the guys in your area that rebuild those things and they may be able to get it back like new condition for not much. I think it cost me...
I have a couple new in the package for when I get around to running cable.
The NSN is 5325-01-163-5974
The GM part number is GR.9.647-75G5 or 1#15599990-GROM
Looking at the directions for the installation of the antenna bracket the hole in the truck top is 1.187". The dia of the...
Not to steal your thunder...and now that I know what that plate is called...anyone got another one? I have a 1028 that I could use that in to mount stuff.
From my experience with tire chains, the standard wheel well opening is sufficient for tire chain usage. You just need to make sure they are tight and put on correctly. Off road usage in the snow, I would use chains on all four corners. On the road, it depends on the snow cover and ice. It...
A couple of years ago I was searching for a Dana 60 rear for a build. I came across the fact that '98 1/2-00 Ford E350 vans with the Diesel motor had Dana 60 axles with Disc brakes. I got one with 4.10 gears and a limited slip for $250. It came out of a wrecked van and all I had to do was...
I have the Phase I and Phase II directions in hand, and according to them the hole in the fiberglass is 1.187". These holes would be depending on the location of the antenna bracket, front or rear, at the bottom corners of the window. There is also a grommet that is inserted into the hole to...
Before I lost his number, he was asking something like $35 for magnetic and $20 for stick-on with $10 for shipping. I am not sure what he is asking now or even if he has any more.
