brand new fuel filter, truck has been sitting because this problem has been an ongoing issue for last year, will check on full lines next

put 2 new batteries in, then drive 2 miles to test truck and it acts like it's out of fuel?? dies, after it sits for 5 minutes it starts right back up, got it home and back in the driveway! I'm thinking injector pump?? or fuel tank full of crap? any ideas?? Thanks

My truck was running fine at idle but when I got on the road it would start to act like it was out fuel (3/4 in tank) checked batteries they were shot, put 2 brand new ones in and truck seems to be running fine now?? thanks

thanks Barrman, It's amazing what 2 brand new batteries will do to start a truck, old ones had bad cells, now need to trace the why the headlights not working!

I went to drive my truck sunday, turned the key, and dash light went out, no power checked batteries with load tested and tested fine. Had the wife come out to turn key, took the jumper from front battery to rear battery and go power to dash, and would even turn engine but not enough power to...

do you have a pic of the 12 volt diamond? I had kind of the same problem, but it happened when I turned the key to start, it turned over one time, then nothing lost all power to dash?

did I get the pulley on too far?

Ok, now fill it up, and let it sit overnight, this will let the foam settle down. then in the morning get a friend to sit in the truck start it up and have them turn the steering wheel back and forth, while you make sure the pump is full. that solved my problems

Well that didn't work to well, power steering fluid leaked out of the cap and all over garage floor

I got the pulley on flush, filled up pump, got the belt tight. when I started up the truck, I had no power steering and no brakes? any ideas

Is that on far enough? it looks like it might start hitting the bracket if I go on any more?

I took the old pump off and have ordered a new one. The old one is leaking and when I got it off, I the hole in the center of the pump shaft was all rusted out. there was no way I would be able to screw the installer tool into the shaft. I just thought it was cool, that I found a genuine GM bracket

Fuel filter changed 7-11-15

my m1009 starts and run great for a few miles, then starts acting like it's running out of fuel. sometimes it dies, and if i turn off the key and start it again, it runs fine?? is it the injector pump or do I have something wrong with the fuel tank? truck has a bout 115 k on it

rebuilt from auto zone, probably civvy goes into low red range
