I am new to the world of military generators, but thinking of picking up a 60kw unit. I understand they are all 3 phase, and that is no problem for my intended use. The ones I have seen are 400hz. Are the hz adjustable? Can they be set to a standard 60hz? Do you need to adjust them or will 400hz...
Haven't had a need to buy one, but have taken mine off. I took off both pieces as one unit, and with one other person it's no big deal. If you were puting on a new one, and installed each piece separately, it shouldn't be a problem by yourself.
Looking at the picture of the 105 and 101 on the trailer, I am thinking 2 will be my limit. I can cram them a lil tighter, but don't think it will be enough to get a third one on.
I have been thinking this same thing. I have a 16' trailer and wondering how many 105s I can get on it. I was thinking I would put the first one on, roll it up til the wheels were near the front of the deck, put the tailgate down and stand the front up as high as possible, then repeat and put...
I have seen for sale a set of wheels that were listed for a 2 1/2 ton 6 lug for single tire use, and made by A&H. Wondering if this is what I want for singling out my Deuce. Is there any other 2 1/2 ton military truck that these were made for that won't interchange with a Deuce?
Anyone know what wreckers are bringing lately? What would be a bargain price that would make it easy to get my money back if I decided I didn't like it?
Got a '67 Chevelle street rod I haven't driven in 2 years. It has a 6 point cage, stock frame other then that, 700hp BBC, and all sorts of other goodies. I thought about puting it up for sale for 13k. Needs a lil body work and a fresh paint job. Just throwing that out there
I can't justify 'needing' alot of what I have  I just want one for cool factor, and maybe some heavy lifting from time to time. You never know, I may find a reason some day to lift my Deuce up on it's end
Watching the prices of wreckers, I don't know if one will ever find it's way in to my driveway, but I sure think they look fun. Anyone wanna work a trade for a 67 chevelle lol.
I am relatively new to MVs, as I have only had my Deuce for a little over a month, but now I am hooked. I already want another Deuce to bob, M109A3 to convert to camper, and now I am liking the look of the wreckers. I see they are rather pricey compared to Deuces. I am not in the market just...
Interesting. Now I am wondering why my Deuce had 11 on there since it was last painted. You could tell because they didn't mask it off in any way. Ofcourse it reads 69 for now, only because that is the year it was built ;)
Being new to this, where would be the best place to get a reliable top cover with out spending the price of getting another trans? I know a salvage yard I could get a trans from, but not sure what the price would be for it.
Got my Deuce home. Went back and pulled the shift rod back to neutral and all worked well. Did it from under the truck, so didn't even have to lift the floor up. Now I wonder if it was just me jerking the shifter that caused it, or if I have a worn shifting mechanism that is going to need...
Oh wow. Didn't know anyone in Greensboro had a Deuce. Mine is sitting just outside of Greensboro now. I have to go pull the top of the transmission off I think. The shifter got out of sync, and now it's stuck in gear.
