I came across what might be an M880 with a service/utility bed. The seller claims that it has 31k original miles, was used on a military base, and has the "military ID plate" on the dash. I might go see it but don't know much about the M880 - did any of them come with a service bed originally?
The old girl is keeping me on my toes! No complaints though, I've never had so much fun laying in the snow busting knuckles :-D The fuel situation that I posted about a few days ago seems fine now and she's running great. It's been near 40 here today and yesterday so that's a big help.

It looks like I'm about to jump in and get some firsthand education on deuce mechanicals.
I took it out to get some feed/hay and it ran perfectly, no problems at all. I was home for about an hour when a neighbor came by to see it, and I fired it up. It started and ran perfectly, then shut down...
Ok, so it was only Columbus to Centerburg (about 30 miles). It still counts as a recovery, right?
I left home @ 0615 since I needed to pick up a few things before heading to DSCC. Met John and we headed out, we were cleared onto the base and met Brandon w/GL a little before 8:30. He took us...
The deuce recovery today went better than I had hoped, and the truck is now in my driveway. I've been outside to just look at it probably 10 times already :-D I have pics and vids of the recovery to post later after the little one is asleep.
Just wanted to send public thanks to three members...
I received my PIF invoice and approved EUC yesterday and have an appointment to pick up my deuce on Tuesday 12/22. Monkeythumbs is going above and beyond - not only going with me but also bringing a bunch of recovery gear. But just in case she doesn't want to go, I thought I'd better check into...
I went out this morning to take a look at the deuce I won last week. Aside from some confusion regarding where to send me, it went smoothly and the GL folks were good to work with.
Overall she looks good with some surface rust, but nothing a wire brush and paint can't fix. 2 of the tires need...
I dove headfirst down the GL rabbit hole........

I'm a little nervous but can't wait for her to come home!
I submitted a classified ad yesterday afternoon at about 2:30 pm. It has not yet shown up in the listings, but it does appear in my classifieds profile as "pending approval." Just wondering if I may have missed a step in submitting it?
Thanks -
Ok, this is probably a stupid question and I'm prepared for any abuse......
After bringing the truck home on Saturday, I've been chasing down some electrical gremlins (dash lights etc). All of those are straightened out, which is a minor miracle since I'm usually awful with...
I've been through several threads for info and wondered if anyone has an opinion/advice to share - the speedometer is out on my M1009, and I figure it pretty much has to be either the cable or the plastic gear. I just got it yesterday so I don't know how it was acting before it quit (I'm...
Well, I finally have an MV to call my own....I found a 1985 M1009 while driving around for work. I wasn't really looking for anything but the deal was too good to pass up. It's all stock with a very strong 6.2L/TH400 (87k) and a solid body. It's not perfect, but it's loud, green, and all mine...
Ok, time to ask the experts: I thought I had my Deuce all picked out (72 M35A2, no heat, no turbo. soft top, no winch). Now I've come across another one and wondered what you all thought.
The new candidate is a 70 with cab heat and is a C Whistler. I haven't seen it in person yet but will try...
I'm a new member here who is about ready to buy a 72 M35A2. Could someone give me an idea on what to expect in terms of cost/availability of parts and service? Is there anything to look for that signals a complete money pit? I know my way around mechanically but have never messed around with a...
Hello to everyone - I'm new to the forum and have really been impressed by all of the information that I've found so far. I'm not an owner yet, but am very close to buying a 72 M35A2 - non-turbo/no heat but a great running and driving truck. I my wind up living in it, but I've always wanted one...
