Hi I just bought a M35A2 and I want to turn the fuel up as high as it can go so my truck smokes like a steam train; I want it to have off the shelf power steering and disk brakes - you know something I can buy at Wallyworld. I want to know how to bypass my FDC so it runs smoother; install air...
I came across this 5 ton last May, I think it is a M54. I stopped to look at it and found it was a gasser and was in pretty good shape for its age. Went back the other day and other than the for sale sign being faded and it sitting lower in the grass it looks the same. I don’t know much about...
2 Questions: (1) will the michelin xzl 11R20 work on a stock deuce rim (safely) and (2) can it run in dual configuration? I read that the tires are 11.8 inces wide.
If this has been asked before then this post should be removed.
Thanks.
Since I bought my M35 over a year ago I have had to jump threw hoops with the DOT. First was the problem with my sun cracked NDT tires, all ten were too old to pass a safety ( 7 new Michelins on MLVW rims fix that), then my parking lights don’t come on with my headlights (a diode jumper fixed...
Has anyone ever made a set of cargo bows? uprights, corners and bows?
I just bought a cargo cover and I need the bow set, but at over $400 for a set that is too much for me to spend.
Thanks.
They grow up and move out so fast don't they. I finally sold the M215 today.
Sad day for me as I have had it over 11 years and It was my first MV and my first car/truck.:( I'm hoping that this will help get the M35 on the road.
It was such a beautiful day so I thought I would get out the trucks and take some pic's. It is hard to have a convoy when there is only one driver.
None the less It is nice to get out and play. 1971 M35A2 , 1953 M215 , 1942 GMC. The 41 needs some work on the fuel tank before it can play...
I have a 71 M35A2 and I'm looking for NAPA part number for rear wheel seals. I have one that is leaking and I need to replace it before the truck will pass the safety.aua
Other things I need are the NAPA part numbers for all the flex brake lines and the head light bulbs. I have all the other...
I'm planning on driving a M35a2 on a small road trip 289 mile's and was wondering what type of fuel mileage I should be getting? I read thru the TM's and 5-6 mpg doesn't seam realistic. This is all highway driving and I'm just trying to figure out how much fuel is going to cost.
The truck is a...
All trucks I have ever owned have had the fuel primer on the dashboard disconnected or removed. I was just wondering
1. was this done on all the trucks?
2. was it done for safety?
3. is there any harm in reconnecting mine?
4. How beneficial is having It anyway?
Thing that keep me up at night.
Found a 5 Ton Gasser cab and chassis for sale near me.
I'm interested in buying it but I know nothing about the 5 ton trucks.
The bad stuff: wo/w , all the glass has cracks , the turn signals front and rear are not stock and the passengers seat is missing.
The good stuff: The truck runs like a...
I was sitting around in the port of backyarda watching the world go by and thinking of all the things I would love to do If I had money. Then my attention turned to my son's old power wheels jeep and I thought how cool it would be if I gave It a camo paint job. next thing you know I'm breaking...
I need Help!
I thought that I would post this Question to you all in hopes that your input would help steer me in the right direction.
I really want a M35a2 but up here in Canada it is a expansive venture to bring one across the border, up words of $10.000, the likes of witch I don't have...

This is so sad.:soapbox:
I wish I could save every MV I find.
I found this on YouTube.
I think this truck is based on the CCKW.
Has anyone converted their truck to 12v?
What are the drawbacks to this?
Is it a lot of work?
I'm re-powering the M215 and the starter I have with the new engine is 12volt.
Any input would be great.
