I know this has been posted before, but I'm having trouble finding the threads. I have a deuce, which is a keeper, and I want to be rid of the NDTs on it. I would prefer to keep the stock rims. I run it in west Texas, where everything that grows, slithers and walks pretty much has nettles or...
Anybody know where to get these? The only etching on the seal is 4591SCR. Says National Seal on it. I've been through h!l* so far trying to get them. It's the dust seal on the front of my 923.
I have an M923, 1997 vintage, with a caterpillar engine and allison push button tranny. It was an experimental truck I bought from wehring. Coming back from a trip recently, my front left hub was WAY hot. We have pulled it apart, and although I think the hub bearings are greased, the spline...
I purchased a 4.9 KW generator from a fellow member and don't know what I have. It runs great but I want to do an oil change. It is an onan generator and an Italian Yanmar one cylinder diesel with a pull cord and the compression relief lever on top of the engine. Data plate is obliterated...
Anyone ever replaced the front axle boot on an M923? Mine's torn, and I've burned my eyes out on the TM sticky and just can't find it. Right front, you peel it back and there's grease in there! Trying to get her up and running for Labor Day.
Will be pulling my 24 foot gooseneck trailer from Houston west to at least Dryden, TX over Memorial Day weekend coming up. Will probably pull all the way to El Paso. Anything bound west as far as miscellaneous, small vehicles, etc.. will do. I can place, store and protect from elements, if...
I used Surplus Transport for a special project of mine, transporting a drill rig from Florida to Texas that had all kinds of issues attached to it. These guys did it timely, and they did it for reasonable $$. Thanks to Eric, the driver and his son (the strongest guy in the western...
I have a medium duty truck, 1981 International, 10 feet high by 24 feet long, I need to go to Houston. Already bought it, and it's in Inverness, Florida.
Had a conversation with a good friend this evening who hauls his bulldozer all over Texas and he informed me that all trailers with a load (that's cargo) rating over 4,000 pounds now needs an inspection sticker on the trailer. Any Texas members have any intel on this?
So I got my new radiator in and noticed when I turn the fan blade, it contacted the upper tank of the radiator. So I adjusted the upper bracket to angle the top of the radiator forward, and no more contact, but the clearance looks to be about one quarter to three eights of an inch. Is this...
Pulled my radiator this past weekend and the diagnosis came back from the radiator shop that the core is rotted beyond repair. The price to pull the tank off and "fabricate" a core was staggering. Anyone have suggestions as to where I can find a serviceable radiator?
Members, do not put a spinner wheel on your steering wheel! It will cause great pain (eventually) when you let that baby loose. I thought I could be Steve McQueen with a spinner wheel and it finally caught me today, right on my wrist, and busted a vein in my right wrist. It's coming off...
Have read all the posts, done my homework, and I feel like I'm on the set of LOST; question posed is "what are the biggest steel belted tires I can run on the stock rims". My current nylon NDT's are being chewed up royally on my rocky ranch road.
