I had one blow up in a Dodge Dakota several years ago. The truck was just sitting and had not been run for several hours. It dented the hood. Scary! Jim
I bought a M1028 in Utah 3 months ago and drove it to Colorado where I live. Anything being registered in Colorado has to have an emissions test, if you live in the Denver (front range) area. Also, the law was recently changed so that only vehicles older than 1975 qualify for collector plates.
Almost forgot. My M1028 had a camo camper shell (truck was green) got rid of it on Craig's List. It also had 5 brand new tires and 2 Optima red top batteries. Jim N0EYZ
Only things in mine: a fire extinguisher, full tool kit, decon apparatus, breakdown reflector kit and 3 cut padlocks for the steering wheel chain. All military lights and equipment in place and working plus sliding rear window, class 3 receiver and an electric trailer brake in/on my M1028...
Check Radio Shack online, they have more stuff. Also the mall stores don't have much in the way of parts, but some of the free standing stores still have some parts. Jim, N0EYZ
There is also a decontamination unit that will fit in a jerry can holder. It holds about 3 gallons of fluid and has a compartment for a hose, brush, wand and hand pump. I have one. They show up of ebay frequently.
